What do you think about kyaking?

Post by 10sun »

I am thinking about buying a kyak because I have a dock at my new house and I think that it would be a relaxing exercise for mornings before work.

How is it in terms of a workout?

There isn't much of a current to work against, but I will be kyaking upstream for probably half an hour and then heading back downstream to my house at a relaxing rate.

What do you think it would replace in terms of a workout? I am trying to find as much of a relaxing workout as possible and I think this would be ideal for a meditative state.

onbe of the best work outs it ranks up there with boxing because of the upper body balance and str required to do it for long periods of time

Single seater, hard kyak, no need for a white water setup at this point as the river I'm on is languid most all of the time.
