A question for the WoW players (and yes, I meant to post this thread in this forum).

Have any of you played EQII and if so, is it worth checking out.

The reason I am asking is because I am sick of the same shit in WoW. I'm sick of Strath and Scholo and UBRS. Not to mention I started on a PST server and my guild doesn't start raiding MC / Onyxia until 9 EST.

I refuse to start another charector in WoW. I know it's "easy" but I will just be faced with the same dilemma once I get THAT cha to 60. The same godamn instances.

My buddy has the EQII disks and will let me borrow his account to check it out. Is it worth even loading up.

I could ask in the EQII forum but the answer is pretty obvious there. I just wanted the opinion of someone who plays the game I currently play.

I'm bored ~

Drop the zerg guild, learn to PvP, and go nuts on the honor system.

Ok, for those that didn't read my entire post.

I refuse to start another charector in WoW

WoW is a baby game. If my grandmother played it for a week she'd be 60.

You're missing the point cuteboots, it's a PvP game, not a PvE game, you want PvE shit, goto EQ.

I think it's trying to be both

If all they're going to do is work on the PvP aspect, I know I'll completely lose interest soonish~

Yeah and I made the mistake of joining a PVE server. I am past the point of no return. I'd rather start a whole new game than level another charector on a PVP server to 60.

I'd give it a shot. It's not like you will be buying the game or paying for the account. If it turns out you don't like it, all you will have wasted is a little bit of time, and some space on your computer (which is easily remedied).

All I know of the game is that the graphics are beautiful. Of the people who have played it that I've talked to, they have all really enjoyed it. Worth a shot. :dunno:

If you don't like it, maybe you can come back to WOW just in time for Battlegrounds and get some PVP afterall =)

Of course, I will still keep my WoW account active and I will update when the patches come out but consider me awol until they add some content.

It's friggen absurd. There should be more mobs just roaming around freely. Not mobs you have to plow through 4 hours worth of bullshit to get too.

Where the hell are the Tormax's and the Sontalaaks.

Next patch should be the beginning of the high end content evolution. I don't think bilizzard expected the Level/Char peak to hit this quickly hence the lack of High-End.

I personally think Molten Core is boring as hell(clearing) but some of the fights in there are a blast.

Well, my picking the wrong timezone and ruleset doesn't excuse the fact that there is no high end content.

Lets say I picked the right timezone, I'd just be raiding MC everynight. That would probably get boring in about 1 week.

I tried EQ2 again after WoW and I have to say its a great game in some aspects.

It is more difficult than WoW in a PVE aspect and harder to level. The "tard" population also seems to be a lot less. I think if you were to start playing and find four friends to start with you and create a well rounded group and play together VERY regularly you would enjoy it .

If you don't have the above group it can start sucking real real fast. They did a good job with questing in the game but they took it way to far... You have to quest for everything, and I mean everything. The main problem with questing when you don't have a core group of people is that other players will team up with you, get the piece they need and then bail.

This becomes very frustrating. I also found it next to useless soloing or just grinding mobs. This I particularly hated. IMO you should be able to solo to a degree regardless of class and grinding should be a viable way to level.

Me personally I have always liked just loggin on and grouping with one or two people and slaying shit all day. It was my experience that this just doesn't cut it in the leveling arena in EQ2.

I hate to say it but EQ1 is the only MMOG out there that was even remotely fun 3, 6, 12 months after playing it.

At this point I have pretty much given up on MMOGS. For a game you must pay for on a monthly basis I expect a lot more than what any of the current companies are delivering and have quit all of them. Come to think of it I haven't played any video game in about 3 weeks and don't miss em.

Boy, you people don't bother to read anything do you.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

brilliant move on their part. People are going to do this shit regardless of what sony does... Now people can ensure their transaction is going to be a success without getting scammed and SOE will make a nice profit.

Oh and your constant negative dogma against SOE is getting old and tired. You should really just admit they are kicking blizzard's ass all over the place at this point.
