Clowns are so creepy, so are the ventriliquest dolls and the dolls with strings that you can make walk. /shutter

Arab, that is a freaky ass story, I read it last night and scared myself ><
Everytime I read things about ghosts or something scary I am convinced that something is behind me, and look every 2 seconds :ugh:

Clowns are funny. What is so scary about them? You guys need to lay off the Steve King novels for a while :ghostsmiley:

Maybe someone wrote that in lipstick previously, lipids were trapped in little scratches in the glass even after repeated cleanings and temperature/air pressure/humidity were such at that point in time that the area was not covered with condensation.

Or it's those fucking Comcast DNS gremlins again.

I don't think we know who wrote it, I'm convinced it had to be here before we came, and somehow it has managed to escape my windex treatments. After freaking myself out the last few days thinking over this, it's probably best to assume the most realistic possibility, and that is that it was here before.

The message itself inspired Scott to write a song, and the title is "the self of all" hehe. whatever that means.

Oh, and my thing with clowns came from watching Poltergiest as a small child and freaking the fuck out when that clown disappeared from the chair and then grabbed that boy by the ankles and pulled him under the bed.

thanks mom, 'preciate that.

Ok Araby, if Scott didn't do it and your son didn't do it, then just pray to Jesus about it and it will definitely go away.

As much as I believe in God.

Never once have any of my prayers been answered to my recollection. I don't think God gives a shit about 99.9% of our requests. We're on our own.

Did you ever think that maybe Jesus did it? Everything is for a reason right? Nothing could happen without GOD knowing about it so it was put there for a reason.

Araby wrote:I'm telling my story to some friends of ours on Wed night at dinner, and one of the girls says, "I am going to tell you about the clown statue story."

Her friend was babysitting for a family, had been their babysitter for a couple of years. One night while babysitting she notices the parents got a clown statue which was in the hallway, and she didn't like it because it looked scary, so she called the mom and said, "I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to cover up the clown statue you got because it's scary."

The mom said, "we don't have a clown statue."

Basically...this man was living in their attack for years and coming downstairs at night into the kids' rooms...he didn't do anything to them, just watched them.

that was her story and I never believe this crap but it's still creepy, esp because clowns and the idea of clowns are just fucked up.

She got this from a movie called "Hider in the House" with Gary Busey. He played a deranged person living in an attic of Mimi Rogers' house. He comes down at night and watch them in their sleep albeit not in a clown custome.

I KNEW IT! I never believe those stories...ever...as soon as she started to tell the story with "a friend of mine" I was thinking, "Nope, didn't happen and I won't believe you."

Only a couple of things have happened since we've moved in that we can't explain, like finding things in our apartment that are very random and not ours. It's happened twice now, but I figure my cats find these things and bring them into the middle of the floor.

and, as far as the prayer thing...hehe...well that is the only thing that used to keep me from being scared when I was little. Later that night after finding the message on the mirror, Scott got up to go into the living room for whatever reason, and then I drifted off to a light sleep. I heard a cabinet close, had forgotten he was out of the bed, and thought in my sleepy mind, "why is a cabinet closing," looked onto the wall and saw a shadow coming into the room, and I screamed so loud when I turned over! And by screamed, I mean, it was so loud and I was so scared that I honestly thought I wouldn't calm down. My heart was beating so fast that it made me cry.

Of course it was only him, but I was half asleep/half awake and, well, pretty freaked out from what happened earlier. I said a prayer that night I went to sleep just saying, "The power of Christ compels you!"

And oh, I cleaned the mirror just about an hour ago, and it made the message show up...I can't wipe the letters away. i think diabolik was right, it had to have been written with something particular, not just a finger over a fogged mirror.

The pope has email? *shrug* it IS 2005, I'm not surprised.

That clown thing is fucking creepy, but the mirror thing is even more-so. I used to write stuff on my mom and dad's mirror all the time. like REDRUM. and HeLP with finger tips smeared downward. My mom used to get mad all the time lol.

I don't think that is necessarily so, Josh. I believe that God does answer prayers, but I think he has a master plan for you. He won't answer the prayers that mess up his plan. 90% of the time when you ask for something in prayer, it is for selfish or other reasons, etc etc.

I mean if you think about it, you would not be where you are in your life if just ONE of your prayers had been answered. Everything in your life happens for a reason. Kind of like that movie Butterfly effect, but I guess that is a bad example.

Anyway............
