I know he makes over six figures. I often equate income to intelligence at least to a degree... That being said his is more like a knight of the round table and you a lowly insolent squire with manure stains on your clothing.

Did he scan a copy of his paycheck stub and email it to you? Actually intelligence is only a very small percentage of the success factor. Motivation and "sticking to it" are most important, and having the right attitude. Other factors are luck and determination.

Kahar, what sort of paranormal things have you encountered?

Want to apologize for not replying sooner. As Martrae can attest to I rarely get on the forums during the weekend. As for the post she had told me to come take a look at it.

As for what I have seen...well lets see I have visited about 100 haunted sites in my time. From the mundane (Kay Terrace Estate in Conyers, GA) to the not so mundane (Gettysburg Battlefield). Im sure alot of you have called people like me a 'nut job' or a Bullshit artist however, paranormal activities do exsists. Alot of what I have seen is physical object being moved in a room or destroyed.

One such was in New Haven, CT.I saw what happened to a wicker chair seat for all intents and purposes explode. The wicker chairs weaving unwraped and stood straight up as if someone took a fist the size of a large ham and smacked it thru the center point. The Wicker chair was fine up until me and my friend left the room. We were gone only for 2 minutes while we explored the rest of the house. The house's temperature dropped to the point we could see out breath. The temperature drop was in almost instant. This house has been labeled as a 'haunted house' by alot of paranormal investigators. To this date I believe the house is still stands and is occupied.

I have seen chairs slide accross the floor, Mirrors crack for no reason, gheists (apparitions), and changes in atmosphere(fog that was not there when we arrived on site, temperature spikes, Ground muddy even though the weather was dry for over two weeks, etc)I have also heard whisperings and screams in places.

I am not saying I am professional, far from it I do this for entertainement and as a hobby or rather used to (hard to say "Come on kids lets go look at this abandoned house and watch weird shit happen").

For every 4 haunted houses I goto 1 or 2 turns out to be a fake. But there are a few I have seen that cant be disproved even by scientists.

Now to explain my theory as to why a house becomes haunted. It is not a spirit persay if it were the spirit in my opinion would go about its daily tasks, work school etc and the said spirit would haunt more than one area. The residual theory is that when someone dies there are reprecusions similar to throwing a stone into the middle of a pond, ripples go out from the source (epicenter of the death) and flow outwards. The further out from the epicenter the less the residual effects. This is why places like alot of the Jewish concentration camps are considered haunted. Also places like Vlad (Tepes) Castle in
Romania is said to be haunted to this day, even though the atrocities there ended around 1475 (for those of you who have not guessed or are a little rusty on history, Vlad the Impaler was also known as Count Tepes). Scientists have yet to disprove the castle remains as haunted. Too many scientists have gone there to study the ruins only to see and hear things that can only be explained as paranormal.

what are you disproving? Hauntings or the fact there are fake haunted houses? Or maybe that Science does not have all the answers? And have you done any studies in this? I would like to see some of the places you visited or researched.

I guess I find it funny that you have the knowledge and credentials to decide these haunted houses are real.

Give me a break.

There are scientists offering substantial rewards for ANY verifiable proof of paranormal activity. I suggest you cash in on it... otherwise, cut the bullshit.

I'm not saying there aren't things that scientists can't explain, I'm just saying that "ghosts" are NOT the explanation. You can believe, have faith etc if you like but don't try to pull some science shit, you just look like a fool.

Toss, think about it... 80 years ago, Galaxies were 'fuzzy stars' in telescopes.

You don't have to go 'that' far back in human history before the Sun was JuJu the Life-giving Omni-God who smiled upon our wheat during the Summer and punished us for masturbating during the Winter.

Calling the unexplained 'Ghosts!!' is just as Neanderthal as thinking virgin sacrifices will keep the floods at bay. (or... WILL they?? :dunno: )

Ahhh yes, I have seen the science rewards. Let me share some of the findings they have 'given' to explain away actual hauntings.

Scientists have claimed that unexplained temperature drops are nothing more than jets flying too low and suddenly changing atmospheric temperatures (Norwalk, CT) . Lets see, science has explained that unexoplained 'fog' when someone drives into a area is nothing more than the release of swamp gas(Kay Terrace famr, Conyers,GA). Screaming is the wind coming thru the bars of the surrounding cells(Mansfield Prison, Mansfield, OH) As for cashing in, well places like Vlad's Castle people have invited scientists into the place. Some have gone there only to say the lights they say amongst the grounds outside the walls were 'flashlights'. However motion sensors placed outside the grounds never went off. Discovery had a nice piece on this castle a few months ago. However there are a few books around that discuss this phenomenon.

Science explains alot of things they can not understand with weak plausabilities such as 'swamp gas' or 'A/C malfunction'. Toss i understand your a skeptic. You believe Science should explain away any and all of the unexplained. Fact is they don't.

The last house excised by the Catholic Church was only 3 years ago. In order for the church to actually pronounce the house haunted meters and readings are taken about the house to deem that it is haunted. Nowadys they take siesmic readings, motion sensors, temperature sensors, and video. I dont claim to be Catholic by any means, but the church usually disclaims 90 percent of the requests for excising. They study these houses scientifically.

When the scientists actually produce solid claims more plausible than 'swamp gas coming from a swamp 100 miles away produced the visual fog' then come talk to me. When they actually come up with a comment better than 'changes in a low presure system rapidly changed the temperature of this 3000 square foot house in less than 2 minutes' then I will actually believe them.

Till then I still hold to the fact that Scientists have yet to disprove some hauntings. Or maybe I should say Scientists have yet to come up with any plausibe sounding reasons for certain hauntings. I think that would be more to your liking..no?

Temperature drops? Unexplained fog? Lights? Screams? This is what you call a haunting? You honestly believe that there is no possible explanation for these phenoms other than the "spirit" of a dead person? Face it. This shit takes just as much faith as religion does. Once you accept that, I have no argument. Just don't try to say there is ANY scientific data that points to the spiritworld as the explanation.

Think about your own evidence. A "scream" noise is a certain frequency and volume and requires something physical to make the air vibrate at a certain rate. Something "physically" created the vibrations your ears are picking up. Even if a ghost was the source, how does something with no physical body let alone vocal cords make the air vibrate? There HAS to be a physical source for the sound. Show me some physical evidence that it was a ghost.

Once you throw logic completely out the window, ghosts make perfect sense.

I didn't even read past the 2nd line of your 2nd paragraph.

You need to read my post again. Here, I'll summarize for you:

Just because it can't be explained doesn't mean you should give up and call it 'ghosts'.

85 years ago, they couldn't explain the bizarre effects from X-Rays and it was commonly accepted that twice-daily 15-minute no-protection HEAD exposures to UNFOCUSED x-rays was therapeutic. Brain tumors? Oh, those are simply unexplained phenomenon... it must be healthy though, your migraines have decreased!

I can't explain David Copperfield floating on his back across a 200-yard chasm in the grand canyon. Does that mean he's a wizard?

300 years ago, our solar-system was the center of the universe. 90 years ago, Hubble proved that the universe is expanding at an increasing rate. 300 years ago, we couldn't explain the changes in the 'fixed' sky... so it was called "God." 210 years later, scientists proved what their predecessors gave up on - universal inflation. To the HIGHLY-EDUCATED people of the 18th century, the explanation simply would NEVER exist. It was GOD. Now, we look back on them in the same light as the 15,000 B.C. cave-painters in France who described the Sun as an angry God.

Who gives a shit if you or any HIGHLY EDUCATED fuckwit can't explain why a chair suddenly moved across a room? You are GIVING UP by saying, "oh, it must be the boogie-man." That's weak... it's not scientific... it puts you in the same fucking cerebral class as the human-sacrificing Aztecs (gotta keep the snake god appeased or the harvest will be thin!!!)

I could go to an aboriginal tribe and blow into the top of a beer bottle to get flute-noises and they might call me a holy-man. Congrats on lumping yourself in with those geniuses.

What i am saying is the plausible reasons have yet to BE explained. If they can explain them I will change my stand point.

And since you are trying to use logic for the first time, try to think of your own evidence.

Yes, a noise is produced, now where did it come from? Wind blowing across a metal bar cannot produce the sound of a scream and even if it did the scream are heard inside the internal structure of the Mansfield Prison away from outside atmosphere.

A light is seen moving rapidly thru a tree line yet no motion sensors pick up the movement...explain it.

Fog appears 2 minutes after you walk into a place. There is no change in elevation. define a scientific plausibility.

All I want from you is to explain this away scientifically with palusible definitions.

Im sure a few people here would like you to try and explain it. Problem is you can't. You can believe what you want to believe. I have answered to the best of my ability to a question Araby asked.

So... if it can't be explained, it's Ghosts.

That's your stance?

Nobody can explain Copperfield walking straight through the thickest section of the Great Wall of China; he's a wizard.

i am saying that sicence cannot explain away everything. I believe what I have seen. Since you are far from a authority and have not most likely studied the field lets say that your views as to what it is and what my views are are not going to meet. Tell you what, come on down to Ohio, Ill even put you up for the night and keep you fed. We will go take a look at Rogues Hollow in Doylestown. I have been meaning to research the place. Or we can stay over night in the Mansfield Prison.

At the same time, though.. completely dismissing the possibility of ghosts is just as bad.

I mean, I'm certainly skeptical, but anything is possible. I don't believe it to be ghosts just because science can't prove anything else, but I also don't think spirit activity is completely out of the question.
