Not a bad cost on the one Boss. I would not touch the desktop models with a 10 foot pole but the laptops seem to be made of sturdier stuff.
One thing I can reccomend to you. Pick up a 69 dollar battery back up(UPS) for this girl. Fill out the warranty paperwork on it.
Trust me HP does not cover anything to do with power supply fluctuations and surges. the battery backup should protect you against this. atleast when it is pluged in. That way if the power supply goes snakeshit you have a warranty thru APC. Now as a technician one thing APC and Bulldog does not tell you is make sure you keep the reciept for the battery backup. Also make sure the reciept has YOUR seiral number from the battery backup system(UPS) written on it. If the reciept does not make the minimum wage slave sitting behind the cash register enter in on a subline. This is very important!!! Trust me Ganzo. I have to deal with these bastards on a weekly basis.

not the battery man. the compusa does not potect against power surges and or brown outs.. You need a Uninteruptible power supply. They consider power suges and brown outs 'act of god' and have not covered this in the past. If this has changed then sorry but you might wanna make a call to them and find out just to be on the safe side.
