I told her, and she said, "Who?" I guess you made that much of an impact on her EQ life.

I have a level 8 cleric on High Keep. It runs VERY choppy on my computer. I don't like it as much as WoW, but I paid for a month, so I will give it a try.

Turn down your settings, Kizz. There are several very good guides in regards to setting up video for EQ2.

EQ2 isnt as quick and easy as WOW, but is fun once you get rolling. They are working hard to make it more casual friendly to level.

Graphics wise I actually like WOW better, even with my uber pooter.

EQ2 tries too hard to be photorealistic and sometimes it just doesnt look nearly as cool as WOW. It looks prettier, but it doesnt always work better.

WOW runs better on my laptop then EQ2 does on my Uber Pooter.

Lyion was the first person I've ever heard say that they like the graphics better in WoW than in EQ2.

You are missing my point, Mindia. WOWs graphics work BETTER as an MMO. The world is seamless and they dont try to do TOO much. They are pretty and work with the WOW theme. It also works better with todays hardware.

EQ2 at times looks unbelievably amazing, but often times runs poorly and its not as seamless as WOW. Its more of a curve. EQ2 has higher peaks but much lower valleys since the game still needs to be streamlined and hardware needs to catch up.

I have an extremely sick fast PC and EQ2s engine is still ahead of it. I like EQ2s gameplay better, but WOWs engine is better suited for PCs right now.

I have been looking for you since I started. I was also doing laundry today, and had to run some food up to work in the middle of playing. I'm sorry I missed you. I have been doing /who all Mrtrae, Kahar and Lyion and haven't had any luck.

I do understand what you're saying Lyion. I'm just saying, you're the first person I've heard give more accolades to WoW graphics in comparison to EQ2 graphics... that's all. It's all good man :boots:

I think what he's trying to say is that the EQ2 graphics are a Lamborghini shell with a Geo Metro engine.

I turned alot of the options down, and it is still a little choppy, but alot better than before. I am not sure if I am liking this game, there is no similarity other than town names (Qeynos and Freeport) It takes me forever to get around in the city, because is looks nothing like it did before. I thought this was going to be similair to EQ 1 in someway, which it is not, it is a totally different game. I will try it for 27 more days, because I promised to give it a fair shot.

How much RAM do you have?

Yes, it's completely different, they would have probably been better off if they had called it something besides EQ2.

Most zones have a town bell which can port you all over the place.

Use the Griffins also for transport in the wild.

Check here for Video Settings:

How to send tells cross server and to EQ2
http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/ ... rd.id=tips

I'm Danias on wanderhome in SWG some nights, so you can send me a tell from EQ2. Likewise, you can send tells to anyone playing eq, also.

There are a ton of commands for finding NPCs, navigating, and its easy to get anywhere once you have the hang of it.

http://www.eq2interface.com/list.php?skinnerid=13413
Has some custom user interfaces

I'll add more lately. The game is fun, but its vastly different from EQ or WOW.

Unless Kizz has upgraded she's still running on a pentium 3 833 MHz and an Nvidia 5200...not exactly the specs you'd want for EQ2.
