if you kill yourself becuase your boyfrien/girlfried broke up with you, somone called you a name or your just depressed then yes, your a wuss. Things like that, you just need to get over.

If you kill yourself because your extremely ill and are being forced to live the remainder of your life in agony, or if your terminally ill. Then no.

Or how about your family kicked you out when you were 17, moved to Virginia and left you to fend for yourselves and wanted nothing to do with you, so you had to stay from place to place for the next 4 years and on that fourth year, which was also your second attempt at suicide, you actually succeeded.

I don't think anyone should have a say in whether people should or shouldn't want to end their lives, but I don't condone suicide and I don't feel sorry for anyone that attempts and follows through either.

I just know I miss my friend.

This thread hits too close to home for me. I think if they are dying and suffering, let them do it.. geez. As for depressed people, at least show them some help to recovering if they are not being total attention whores about it.

I have known a few people who were extremely depressed. They were put on every drug you can imagine. The questions no one was asking though were killing me. No one really got to the real problem they had. They were depressed because THEIR BOYFRIENDS LEFT THEM. yup they were diagnosed with clinical depression because they were dumped.

If you tried to help them, they got worse. If you ignored they, they got worse. They took drugs, they got worse. They found new boyfriends, OMG they got better.

Sometimes you just really want to say "GET THE FUCK OVER IT".

I have had way too many loved ones kill themselves. Each situation is different and as pissed off and devastated as I am about each one, until I hit that point where suicide seems like the answer, I cannot judge. Each person has their own point of no return, most of us just never reach that point.

Nobody saw the warning signs with my brother until it was too late. THEN some of his friends were like "he told me he thought about doing it"... well why didn't they say something to an adult or teacher or counselor? I can't point the finger at anyone though, it was HIS choice and I think maybe he would have done it regardless of any situation. It's just the way life is. Lots of hindesight.

This is where susice really sucks. When people commit suside, theur family and friends always seem to look back and say "Where did I go wrong" when it many cases you never went wrong. They probably would have done ti regardless of what you said and did.

Yup. Do it. I dont want to hear your bitching anymore. Am I heartless for saying this? Probably. But many people who have gotten to the point of contimplating suicide are too far gone to really be helped. They have it in their mind that this is what could really help, so they will do it, guidance or not.

I have had 7 dear friends kill themselves in the last 20 years or so and not a single one of them bitched or complained about life. One day, they were just gone. The people that bitch and complain about life do not want death, they just want attention. There is a difference.

People should have the right. Especially prisoners! Three squares, a cot and a hangman's noose for every convict, I say!

The real question is should people have the right to kill themselves as long as they don't directly involve an unwillinging participate in the process? I mean, I'd hate to be the poor slob who's assigned mop duty after a jumper does a 29 story belly flop!
