Is EQ2 any good?

Postby Gidan » Sun May 22, 2005 11:05 am

So what do people think of EQ2 in general? I tried it for a short time and was not excited, though I never got past level 5. Does it get beter and I just never got high enough to see it?
For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.

If you never made it off the newbie island then you've not really played it.

It's got its ups and downs, just like any other game. IMO the ups outweigh the downs.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

I just re-opened my EQ1 account, mostly out of nostalgia. It made me realize how many things they got right in EQ2. Re-cancelling EQ1 :)

They seem to have worked out most of the problems from launch and have added a huge amount to it.

I ahve been having great fun the last few days, and the solo instances make soloing viable all the way at least through the early 30s (haven't tried the higher ones).

Well the next expansion the quests are for all levels with all the instances and dungeons scaling to whatever level you are. I think it has 12 new instances and 2 static dungeons. Should be good till the Sept expansion.
