Nintendo Revolution

Post by Foutty »

I will probably end up with all three consoles at some point...not sure which I will get first though

Thought this was interesting:

http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/17 ... 25078.html

Specifically this:

Its most significant contribution to online gaming will be the ability to download Nintendo's entire catalog of NES, SNES, and Nintendo 64 console games

*nod*

It still appeals to the select crowd that are completely obsessed with Super Smash Brothers...and very few other games actually worth getting the system for.

Not that they're shitty, no. Just not AS good as the selection of games you get with the xbox/PS series.

I'm not really too keen on dishing out 200+ for a system I'd get 3-4 games for MAX.

Digital downloads of old games better not cost much... I don't think I'd pay more than 5 or 10 dollars

btw, Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix comes out later this year for Gamecube~!

If you have a younger kid, Gamecube is by far your best bet as a console system.

Nintendo is the only ones not taking a bath on their consoles, like Sony and MS. Remember, MS is pumping roughly a billion dollars a year into Xbox. Gotta love the anti trust methodoogies they employ. Too bad they can't bundle it with Windows.

The back catalog makes it very attractive, but I'm also curious about the new controller that is under wraps.

On the new nintendo ALL controllers will be wireless wich is a plus. I enjoy my gamecube far more than my Xbox or Playstation.

Xbox really only appeals to me because of Halo, and online play. I think the graphics and sound is better on my gamecube personally. I think the controllers for the gamecube are far superior than the xbox and PS2 controllers.

Again its just my opinion.

i enjoy my gamecube more than my xbox save for halo and more than anything i've seen on ps2 save for the gta games. nintendo hasn't gone down the crapper at all, imo. and that's just for its console. if you take into account the gameboy, nintendo flushes everything, imo. i'd rather bust out zelda or metroid than some game like manhunt that i play once or twice and never touch again.

Why buy a system where you can download a back catalog when you can get it for free on the internet.

It's called emulation.

I have my original NES SNES N64 and GameCube, as well as Game Boy, GBA and GBA SP or whatever it is.

I have no need for future NES type stuff.
I may also mention I have all of my games I have ever bought.

i hate the nintendo joysticks

ever since the Playstation came out with crampless joysticks, i can't use anything else

ps, ps2 owns pretty much the entire catolog of xbox and nintendo combined on multiple levels of pure ownage

I just can't stand most gamecube games, they look gay, and lame ass controller makes it worse

xbox is just kinda bleh to me

I though halo sucked donkey balls, no idea why people love it so much
