RF Modulator for a PS2..help me :[

k i have a problem. i have an RF modulator, and i have a ps2, and i have a tv.

my tv doesn't have the red/white/yellow plugs needed to plug the ps2 in, so i got an RF modulator awhile ago

it looks like this :

ok on that big picture, heres how i have it plugged in :

the hole on the left, thats the power cord. i have that plugged in there and it goes to the wall

next one over to the right is the To TV one..i have a cable cord plugged in there and it goes directly to the back of my TV

next one over is the channel switch...i've tried them both, 3 and 4 and get nothing

next one over is ANT In, i think thats for antenna so that doesnt matter

next is OHMA, tried that switch on 75 and 1k both and got nothing, though i dont think that one matters much

then the next one is the red/yellow/white plugs, and those are plugged from my playstation to the rf modulator

shrug, i don't know...below the rf modulator is some plugs in the picture, the plug 3rd from the left i dont know what that is, theres not even anything to hook that up to on the rf modulator so i dont know what that thing is

the power light doesn't even come on on the modulator...i have 2 rf modulators, so i know its not the actual box itself. i'm missing something...

oh yeah, the cable cord...i don't have the audio/video switch, so i can't have the cable and the ps2 plugged in at once, i have to unhook the cable from my tv and plug in the loose cable cord that plugs into the rf modulator to the back of the tv. i guess in easier words i can either have cable hooked up, or my ps2 hooked up at one time

frustrating as hell. what am i missing? it really shouldn't be this hard

Try channel 99 on your TV.

if the power light isnt coming on, return it.
Basically if your tv is on channel 3 and the box is set to channel 3, and the yellow red and white are all pluged in, your playstation is on and your not getting signal on your tv your modulater is fucked.

Go buy one from Radioshack. If your lucky you'll get a unmodified one so you burn dvd's through it as well. ~ ! ~

If your power light isn't comming on its not getting power. Either the box, the power cable, or the wall outlet are bad. If its not getting power, it wont do a thing.

First check and make sure your using the correct power cable. Make sure the nubmers match the power needs of the device.

Next, make sure there is power to the outlet.

You mention having 2 boxes, do you have 2 power cables? if so, are they the exact same?
