Not true at all. There is some really good new stuff I'll give you that but some of the best stuff is from over 20 years ago.

Roger Miller, Jim Croce. Oh man great stuff!

Yup, new country is definitely cool overall.

Garth brooks isn't cool anymore and Toby Keith is a fucking moronic child.

Kenny Chesney, Billy Currington, Tim Mcgraw, Randy Travis (total freak but great music).

Country music is cool. New country that is,

Contemporary country music? Jesus fucking christ. It is the worst of the worst. Fucking TERRIBLE, all it is is recycled-recycled-recycled 'rock 'n roll' sometimes featuring 'fiddlin'' and always bad with the worst most boring predictable lyrics imaginable. There are also 2 song formats: 'sad' or 'emotional' and the upbeat 'YEEHAW' songs.

I like the Dixie Chicks a lot. They sound like a modern day version of folk rock. By far my favourite band in the country genre.

Some of the other artists are very good, but overall I find most of the male artists are pretty useless. That is a personal choice of what style you like.

Remember who the "first" new country band really is. The Eagles. Listen to their music some time and tell me that new country is not just a low volume folky rock style.

The main reason that new country is so popular is that it is the last refuge of "white" music. You actually get decent lyrics and a sound that is not based on a dance synthesizer bass beat.

Everytime I turn to a country station they are always talking about how they lost their girlfriend whining their ass's off or talking about how green the grass is. And how the sun rises and shit like that ... irritates the fuck outta me.

No, I just think they sound awful. Terrible whiny crackly voices and putrid harmonies. They also ruin the fiddle. I thought they sucked even before they made the stupid comments to their fans in England about how they were embarrassed to be from the same state as Dubya.

It doesn't matter. No matter which album I say I've heard, somebody's going to say, "well that's not their good stuff" and blah blah blah. Too predictable. Tool just sucks, period... especially that retard "singer" Maynard. Get rid of that clown and they might have a shot at impressing me somewhat.

I happen to think Maynard has an awsome voice. He can hit quite a wide range of vocals. I think all of their albums are equally as good. Each one has the same feel, but with a different style. Do you not like Tool because they make fun of religion?

I mean, I have no problem with you not liking them, but if all you have is '..retard "singer" Maynard' then I find it hard to listen to any critiquing on your part.

Well guess what? You don't have to listen to my critique of Tool. Skip over my posts if you're offended by what I say about them. I think they suck, and the main reason is because of Maynard's voice, and secondly because of their asinine lyrics. Now, Nickelback by contrast has a singer who sounds about 10000000000000000000000 times better than Maynard, has a much wider vocal range, and the band writes better arrangements and has more intelligent lyrics. If you disagree with me... fine. It's not really worth arguing over is it? Move along now.
