Get out while you can! You'll pull your hair out trying to get high level recipes=P Combine that with the insane costs to put some stuff together....bleh.

I was looking at Thottbot just a bit ago...I can see what you mean, but hey, if I can get a steady supply of tigerseye, this might fund my leveling for a good long time !

So I should hold onto all the Tigerseye I have? I think I sold like 5 to a vendor already and I'm only level 15.

Only if you are doing blacksmithing I'd imagine or some other tradeskill. Check thottbot or another site to see what Tigerseye's are used in. Then you can either make it yourself or find someone who can make it for you.

as an example...

I do Alchemy with Herbalism.. but I bet I could sell all my blacksmithing and engineering raw materials in AH or in trade channels.

From what I can tell really you should hold on to most gems - half my inventory is pieces of cloth and gems most of the time heh ><

Aye...Came across two arcane crystals, and one azerothian(or something like that diamond) was told it's rare but dunno what it's for...also have a golden pearl and some black ones...I have two bags that are entirely gems that I've stockpiled. >< I'm always thinking I'm going to use them for some engineering thing. (Which I often have.)

It is easier to simply mine than to deal with blacksmithing... although I get the random people asking for someone with 245+ weaponsmithing in Ogrimmar and make 10-20g based upon material costs and what they have to supply.

Azerothian Diamonds are fairly rare, and are used in a lot of smithing stuff. Black pearl is for mid-range smithing stuff. Gold pearl, not sure, though I know there's at least one 300ish skill tailoring pattern that uses 2 of them. Forget which one tho.

Arcane Crystals are used to make Arcanite, (1 crystal + 1 thorium bar), but the conversion requires high level alchemy, and is on a 2 day recycle timer. On Stormrage, alliance-side, the crystals run 30g each, and an arcanite bar runs 35-40. Used to be cheaper, but since they put in the paladin epic horse quest, prices have been nuts. Glad I mined all mine. heh. The real $$$ maker for gems tho are Pristine Black Diamonds. Those go for 200-300g easy, again due to the pally epic horse quest.

Edit: Speaking as a 300 skill Armorsmith, if you want to continue to make money with Smithing, do *NOT* go Armorsmith. Axesmith is probably the biggest single money maker, with Annihilator for 1h, and Arcanite Reaper for 2h. Swordsmith is probably 2nd best, and Hammersmith 3rd. There's very little you can make with Armorsmithing that people actually want, what with the prevalence of lightforge/valor availability.

I was actually thinking about going Axesmith for the simple fact I'm going to play an axe focused Warrior.

Glad to know it won't be a wasted choice.

On a sadder note, had 5 daggers and one Heavy Copper Broadsword up all night and none sold :(

Hopefully will get some sales this weekend, id on't like being below 3 gold...
