I've been a pure computer gamer up until the most recent iteration of consoles.

System Shock 1 and 2 - If you haven't played these, you can still find copies of the second around. Best first person title I've run into. Play it alone in the dark with some good speakers.

Deus Ex - Ion Storm did something right?

Planescape: Torment - Bioware's best title. Better then the Baldur's Gate franchise
Baldur's Gate series - still damn good.

Fallout 1 and 2 - post-apocalyptic world? Great plot? Excellent writing? A modified GURPS system? Check, check, check, and check.

TIE Fighter and Sam and Max Hit the Road - Lucasarts used to have game.

The Dark Forces series

Thief series - Probably the best of the Stealth genre, though I've enjoyed the Splinter Cell series as well. The latest iteration was best played on the PC, I thought.

Warcraft/Starcraft - Warcraft was the first RTS I played. Certaintly some nostalgia bias, as I didn't get into C&C until later.

Dawn of War - great RTS that shattered some of the expectations established by Blizzard's success (no resource collection?). Also, had possibly the coolest intro movie of any game.

Hehe, many people dislike it, but that doesn't bother me because I love it. lol. I'm a proud Final Fantasy/RPG addict! Final Fantasy VII and Chrono Trigger.. I love them. Cloud's insane and it's so sexy! <3 They make me super happy. If I had listed all of my favorite games, ever, we'd have been here a while.

No one I know even knows what Nethack is.

Ack.. Tactics?

And if so.. I played and beat Tactics.. but not being able to run from town to town.. made me sad. That is why I play RPGs.. I love running from one town to the next town and running backwards and learning all different forms of information. =) Just... seeing a scene, not being able to control and fighting, annoyed me.
