These were absolute, pure-quill, Grade-AAA comedy GOLD. And now they're gone.

Was there? That was all Snerp told me. Something about not assaulting active members while being inactive. Whatever, I didn't go looking for that fight. Syane was a subpar cleric... and as everyone on the Nameless knows; clerics get instant invitations to LoS. No skill required, just be able to count to three. (With the exception of Darcler and Nayana, hehe)

Syane, however, was a special case. Here was some ego-maniac who had never before played a cleric. But here was his first foot in the door: he sucked up. Big time. Second foot in the door: he played a shaman in SoS "way back when" or whatever. So naturally, he had Zedd, Nattil, Trag, and every other ex-SoSer backing his game as if he were the messiah. To be honest, it mattered little to me. Clerics were gold. You couldn't do shit without them and hey, as long as he showed up, I was content. But when he ran his mouth about every little thing, he started to get on my nerves. He considered himself to be on-par talentwise with Snerito. Which is fucking beyond me. However, I let him be until he picked me as a target to bitch about. Then I unloaded on his ass... active or not, he had it coming.

Or was it the Malaehi thing? That was the epitome of stupidity. Why they let her in was beyond me. Oh wait, no it wasn't. It was because she possessed a vagina... and she flirts. Haha, right. LoS - the elite of the Nameless, and suckers for the e-pussy. The best part of that thread, however, was when Chanteez "weighed in" with her oh, so valuable opinion.

The guild as a whole was fantastic. Never before had I seen a group of people work so well together. But many, many people had egos... myself included. When you have that many big-ass heads in a small room, people are bound to get toes stepped on. But hey, we're encroaching on LoS privacy. We should probably stop here~

Just available to LOS members. Some of them should've been made public, I think, possibly after changing some names of more well-known people, they were old enough that they didn't involve anyone still in the guild, just would change the names of anyone still associated by reference.

Bah, can't edit. Anyway, you have to understand that for much of LOS's history, it was far far less unified than anyone on the outside realized. We'd always present a united front against outsiders cause no matter how much we hated each other, we loathed outside guilds more. But, at any given time for long strateches, a good 1/4 the guild had another 1/4 on ignore. Not to mention, some of the egos involved were so large, they should've had their own zip code. You could put up with it when it was someone like Glubgawd, who was insanely competant, just also convinced of his own godhood. Where you couldn't, was someone like Medicd, who was one of the single most incompetant players, of any class, that I have ever seen in ANY online game, yet who had an ego nearly as large as Glub's.

So, when you have egos like that crammed into a small space, several of whom had intense personal dislikes for other members, then add in the immense disdain the talented group had for the egotistical untalented types, and you have immensely comedic drama bursting out all over.

Some of the funniest was when the idiots would post something truly brainless, and then get power-owned from all sides. Like one time Surreal bitched that he was always getting aggro. Someone posted DPS numbers showing he was way below 2-3 other rogues, and someone else posted a screenshot of him nut-hugging dragons, which, of course, increased his aggro. Ozus did something similar when he posted he didn't see the point of using that wizard de-aggro spell (concussion?) that he controlled aggro just fine, yet he was almost always the first person to die...

Alas, they're now gone forever.

most were in the private forum, but there were some good ones in the general

the flame wars with sssorn of bots were good (creator is harder than the AoW!)

A huge discussion about the initial creation of DKP was there (back when people were still friendly with AL, FOH, etc etc)
a lot of the current DKP systems out there are a direct result of that convo

but yeah, the real comedy gold was in the private drama section

any time you felt bad, all you had to do was go there, search for ebay, fungi, ozus, or surreal and boom, you were all better

Yeah, the Ozus going insane thread was easily the equal of when Ixnay imploded on NT after Cargalia.

Oh, and Tikker, how can you leave off BRIONCA? I swear, that mangina had PMS episodes worse than any woman I've ever known.
