Listen to your heart, and then confer with your head. I wish you luck.

It's something we can even talk about together without either one freaking out. We both make little comments here and there about what 'our kids' will be like.

I think that if we do get married and have kids we will be having twins+, it's her generation in her family on both her dads side and her moms side. =/

It's my turn to have twins too. I am most possitive that when I get pregnant again, it will be with multiples. It's either mine of Aime (my cousin's) turn, she had 3 singles, so it's all me now.

I first came here to "talk Sarthis out of getting married." I started thinking about how I got married at 23. I only married her because I felt obligated to. We had been together for 4 years and it seemed like the right thing to do. I mean, I had invested so much of my time in that relationship. Just to give it up for myself would be selfish.
Five years after we had been married she tells me she wants a divorce. I am military (was when we got married) and had been away TDY for 3 years out of the last 5. I find out she has found someone who will be there for her.

We get divorced. Her new love leaves her shortly after. I am now 28 and dating again. ASS GALORE!!!! For 3 and a half years I whore it up and see what I had been missing while married.

I'm now 32 and have a 22 year old girlfriend that thinks I am a FREAKING GOD!!!

Like a started to say in the beginning, I came here to talk Sarthis out of getting married so young. But, after remembering what happened to me I say go for it! Get a divorce in 5 or 6 years and start living it up! Make sure you get divorced in a state where alimony isn't an issue and you get custody of any children, though.

Hey Sarthis, hope you're well.

A couple of things and maybe the uber search guru's can find some of this data, I'm not going to take the time myself however.

They (whomever they are) say the divorce rate is roughly 40%. I've read that marriage is much less likely to succeed if you've lived with the person for an extended period of time PRIOR to marriage.

Along those same lines and I wish I could find the article, is was something on MSN a few years ago if I recall right, anyway, it almost implied that the longer you knew the person there was almost more potential for divorce. It didn't say that but that was the lasting impression it left me.

Having been married too young and then divorced and now remarried I can say the second go around is better then the first :D. I had known my first wife since I was 14 (I'm 35 now), married at 21, divorced at 25 married at 28, first born at 30, now I've got 2 boys. Love my wife, it is all good. I do wish I had my kids at 25 though. I'm happy as hell I didn't knock-up the first bitch tho :p.

Point I guess is knowing your future wife since you were four IMO can be more detriment then an advantage (at least in my case LOL).

Eitherway, I wish you the best and know that marriage will be the hardest job of your life. If you know this going in, IMO you'll be all right.

My second marriage is much better also :)
I found, also, that since I lived with Matt before we got married, it wasnt as much a shock. My first marriage, I moved in the day we got married. I couldnt take it. I never had to share all my space all the time with someone else before. I didnt realize how truely annoying he was until I saw him ALL the time.
I knew Gid...um...6 months before proposal and 11 months before marriage...is that right? I dont know how it all would have played out had I not got pregnant, but I'm rather glad at life's events thus far.

Funny stuff. I thank my ex wife every day that I wake up next to my young, hot, huge-breasted girlfriend!

I have to meet up with the ex every Friday and Sunday to do the kid swap and I spend the rest of the day crying about how I wish we could get back together, and I would do anything to get back with him, and I know I could make him happy this time. Then the next day, I feel stupid for ever thinking that, and he cheated on me several times, and was abusive, and was an asshole. But you can't tell the heart what to feel, you just have to listen to your head.

I'm in my 30's

It's just hard being in love with someone and married to him for 8 years, and then it's gone.

I don't mean to sound like a queer or anything, but I think Depeche Mode kicks ass!

Congrats Sarthis.... listen to yourself and that is all. Don't let a bunch of people who hardly know you try and tell you what to do.
