One of the raid bosses in Molten Core, Baron Geddon, has an amusing effect he does. Every 15 sec or so during the fight, he randomly picks one person in the raid and turns them into a living bomb. Remember the video of that warlock destroying everyone in the Auction hall? That was the Geddon bomb effect going off. (he got it on his pet, unsummoned it to preserve the buff, then re-summoned it in the AH. No, you can't do that any more, it doesn't work. heh)

Basically, after 10 seconds it does 3500 points of damage to a fairly large sized area around The Bomb character, and throws that guy about 200 feet into the air. (Seriously, you'd clear the top of the front wall at Ogrimmar, easy). Now, what anyone who gets that effect is SUPPOSED to do is run the hell away from everyone else on the raid before they blow up, so that they're the only ones who die, unless they have enough HP to survive the explosion + the fall. What Tikker is bitching about are the retards who haven't figured that out yet, and go run and stand in the middle of 20 other people before they blow up, doing 3500 damage to everyone.

my guild had a lot of trouble beating geddon, he was our bottleneck. We got our first kill on him last week, we now are on domo. We did geddon again yesterday and got him first attempt. He might be the easiest kill as long as people arent tards and blow up raid. I guess the biggest part of preventing people from blowing up the raid is enough warning. There are certain mods, one by conquest i believe, that will warn the raid of who the bomb is.

I am highly enjoying this game but there needs to be a point in the leveling process where the retards get weeded out of the general populace.

I'm not much of a PvPer

I have no real interest in it, and i'm sure no real skill at it


in my 1st BG attempt I had 35 kills, and died 6 times (5 of those were to 1 warrior who was pretty good)

I felt pretty good about myself then


in my 2nd, 50 kills, 5 deaths (all 5 to the same frickin warrior, but I got him 8 times)

at the end of the night, I'm up 186 kills to about 20 or 30 deaths

Is the time requirement for raiding the high end stuff about the same as it was in EQ? ( I just bought wow ..)

if you're as awesome at WoW as you were at EQ, you won't ever have to worry about it =P


Seriously tho, the raid lengths are somewhat comparable, but there just isn't as much content, so you can be done all your raiding in 3 days, tops

you know, kind of like original EQ

i'm sure it'll ramp up as we go along, but you can raid casually much more successfully in WoW

My problem was a very poor connection and rather shitty gear (untill about a week before I quit, when I actually got some decent shit)

Honestly I felt that I was comparable in skill to any big-guild raid bard that I had the honor of grouping with, at least for those twice a fucking week doors that my ISP wasnt fucking me over.

Oh well, soloing a few hundred aa's made up for some of it. And now I (finally) have dsl.
