Check for on board video card and make sure it's disabled in BIOS

Does the computer have an onboard vid card? E- Machines were big on using onboard Vid cards but for some reason many did not have a bios option to bypass it. Caused major problems when trying to unse a different vid card, it woudl always look to the onboard card regardless of other cards being present.

You may be in trouble, getting windoes to ignore the onboard card in favor of the other is not always so easy.

alot of times it is buried under the advanced Bios setttings if there is a point that says initiate video and has a slection for agp or PCI change it to AGP. most times the onboard videos are hooked on your PCI Bus.

Otherwise, check the manual for a jumper setting on the motherboard to disable onboard video.
