Being a rogue it does't matter either way to me as well...which is my point which also seems like you agree with.

I like to be able to turnin quests at EPlaugelands without getting ganked, I like to be able to pick flowers without getting ganked, farm in azshara, raid the dragon, whatever. On a pvp server, that's a joke, I've played my friends 60 shaman quite a few times on deathwing and it was rough. If a new PVP server comeso out, and you want to go there, then level fast because people won't worry about killing you if you're higher level.
