anemia isn't a dominant trait, it's like blue eyes

ie, both parents need to have a blue eye gene to pass it on to their children. if one parent is brown/brown the baby will have brown eyes. both parents have to be blue/brown, or blue/blue (or any combination of the 2)

What? lol

My Dad has brown hair and brown eyes. My mom has blonde hair and blue eyes. I had blonde hair and blue eyes as a baby, and I still do, although my hair is "dark blonde" now. Am I not understanding what you said?

Your dad is not your biological father! O_o

Yes he is. I look a lot like him. I think Tikker just got owned (again) unless he backpedals at this point, OR clarifies his position...

So, is this the part where I call you a dumbass?

Tikker, here's a Punnett square (learned this in 5th grade):

<table border="1"><tr><td></td><td>b</td><td>b</td></tr><tr><td>B</td><td>Bb</td><td>Bb</td></tr><tr><td>b</td><td>bb</td><td>bb</td></tr></table>

BB - Brown eye dominant, brown eye recessive
bb - Blue eye dominant, blue eye recessive (only way to have blue eyes, pretty much)
Bb - Brown eye dominant, blue eye recessive

This is provided the brown eyed partner has a recessive gene for blue eyes, which is not at all uncommon. Same goes for blonde hair. 50% of the offspring would have brown eyes but they would *all* carry the recessive trait for blue eyes.

Here's for BB with bb:

<table border="1"><tr><td></td><td>b</td><td>b</td></tr><tr><td>B</td><td>Bb</td><td>Bb</td></tr><tr><td>B</td><td>Bb</td><td>Bb</td></tr></table>

All brown eyes but they all carry the recessive gene for blue eyes.

BTW, that "no blondes in 300 years" theory is bull. Some actuary in Finland made a wild guess and it got news coverage.

No, this would have been the part where you answer the question... but nm because your big brother Rust saved your hide and answered it for you.

Oh hell ass

My 8th grade science teacher made us spend TWO WEEKS doing that crap. Hate it with a passion.

No, you mean that Rust repeated what I'd already stated~

I said that blue eye was a recessive trait, and that both parents needed to be able to pass that blue eye gene for the baby to have blue eyes

Then you said something about your dad is dark hair, brown eyes, mom is blonde, blue eyed, and you're blonde blue eyed, and that you didn't understand

Your dad is clearly brown/blue, and mom is blue/blue

both passed their blue gene to you

Like others have said, this is like grade 8 biology.
