Really, come up with a better word than "gay" or "retard". You ARE better at English than 99% of the board, right?

I've been calling such people "Ignoranus"

Less colorful but good enough alternatives to retard include:

Idiot, fool, baka, blithering git, moron, dingbat, dumbell, doofus, dumb, stupid, ect.

I was at one time anyway... but you never lose the kowledge. I was on the Tahoe-Donner ski team for 3 years. Had a pair of Atomic Arc Team Bionic GS 205's. We competed against Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Sierra Ski Ranch, Mt. Rose, Sugar Bowl, Boreal Ridge and Heavenly Valley. Squaw Valley had a tough team.

Yet you don't grasp the meaning of the word oxymoron. Yeah.

Um... I know the meaning of that word quite well. I thought I made that abundantly clear when we discussed "Planned Parenthood."

But as it was clearly shown in the other thread, you dont understand the definition becasue yo ustill think "Planned Parenthood" is an ozymoron.

Just to throw in a little quote from my main man TJ :

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

Because they perform a crapload of abortions every year. That doesn't sound like "Planned Parenthood" to me. That sounds like "OMG I GOT DRUNK AT A PARTY AND HAD SEX AND GOT PREGNANT... I BETTER GO GET AN ABORTION!" That's why. If you want to go around and around with this subject again... no thanks. Just go read the old thread.

Planned Parenthood
This is just a starting outline for more detailed discussion later

Oxymoron
-Killing your offspring is the worst kind of "parent"
-Agenda is not to aid in responsible parenthood but to promote abortion
-Agenda to sexualize children as young as possible
-Attempts to remove consequences of irresponsible behavior

Um, thats great, but you obviously are missing what an oxymoron actually is. It's something that describes a paradoxical phrase of language - not an organization's agenda relative to their name.

Planned Parenthood would only be an oxymoron if parenthood by nature was inherently unplannable - which it isn't.

Actually, an oxymoron is a combination of contradictory words to describe something. Here are some examples for you:

Nice nazi
Compassionate rapist
Smart retard
Planned Parenthood (as the abortion organization uses the term)*

Are you starting to catch the meaning of it yet? Or shall I provide some more examples for you? Most people would have gotten it by now. :teehee:

Planned Parenthood also supplies birth control and counseling to people about using said birth control until they are ready to have a child..... sounds planned to me!

Sigh.

What you are not getting is that the combined words of Planned and Parenthood in and of themselves are not contradictory, paradoxical, or opposite.

Planned doesn't contradict Parenthood. A parenthood can indeed be planned.

What you want to say is that the planned parenthood ORGANIZATION'S ( not the actual phrase) name is contradictory relative to its agenda. It's not an oxymoron though.
