Detroit or San Antonio?

If detroit stops taking bait and doubleteamning genobli while leaving 3shooters open they have chance.
Last seconds of game while SA was on timeout i said: SA gonna go for 3point, whomever has ball fall him instantly and go to second ot or sa will do 3point shot.
game starts and detroit doubleteams genobli AGAIN and gets 3point up their ass. i wanted to punch my tv

And he was gone late in the game, thus game 7.

It was a good game, but seemed sloppy at times for a finals.

Detroit did beter job of covering 3pointers, and Rashid desided to go crazy in 4th overcompensationg for his fuckup in last seconds of game 5.

Game 7 will be tough to pick, while no one won last 2 on road before, Detroit is very good at closing game 7th

Heck of a series to watch though~ Being a detroit fan and seeing those 3 pointers coming was about the most gut wrenching thing ive ever watched in sports.

This was one of the best finals series in 'my' lifetime (read: since I started caring).

Good, clean fun.

Definitely. Two 'teams' played for it, and it was a classy series.

This series and the labor contract has done much for the NBA.

It won't matter to the majority of the public until we have big names back in the finals, averaging 120ppg.

I know that Duncan is pure pwnage and is the centre piece of the spurs but I would have loved Manu to win the mvp :~(

Then again it wouldn't have stayed true to the definition of MVP..bleh...i'm just a fanboy of manu :/

Had he not gotten injured in game 3 he very well could have. He was just way to absent in games 3-6 though.

Boston would win the Atlantic hands down if New Jersey didnt have an all-star at the 1 the 2 and the 3 spots.

C webb will never play like he did in Sacramento, but Dalembert is getting better, so Philly has a slight chance

2006 eastern conference playoffs:

1: Detroit
2: Miami
3: New Jersey
4: Indiana
5: Washington
6:Chicago
7:Cleveland
8: BOSTON CELTICS

I went to game 2, which I must profess was boring, I had hoped for a closer game at the end. Living in San Antonio, and following the Spurs religously this season, I must confess. I was worried Thursday nite, and had it not been for TD's 2nd half and Manu's 4th period, Detroit would have been going home Champs.

Why did Detroit lose game 7? Because, TD picked up his game so big in 2nd half that Detroit started double teaming him early, freeing up the perimeter and allowing our big boy 3 pt shooters to let them fly. That is the definition of MVP, impacting the game from both ends of the spectrum, defense and offense.

Image\

Another great move was Pop's change to the Zone defense and putting Bowen on Billups. That 3 pt block, at the end of the 4th, took a huge bit of push out of Detroit.

But lets give credit where credit is deserved, Detroit is one fugging OWNAGE basketball team. And it would not surprise me at all to see both teams again next year in the final.

BTW, this is the best news I know of on the Spurs....

TD's contract ends in 2010.
Manu's ends in 2010.
Parker's ends in 2011.

Bowen, Horry and D. Brown all want to stay Spurs.

And the Spurs organization is gaining such respect that it is gaining favor by many free agents. Spurs could be setup for a few more championships over the next couple of years.
