Just got a call from a friend in Boston with most fucked news...

There is a guy that i was friends with for many years. In last few years we lost touch. Today i found out that he was sentanced to 45 years in maximum security for rape and atempted murder.

Aparently he was at a party, met girl there, got drunk and high, tried to talk girl into going to his place with him. She told him to fuck off, he draged her into basement in this house without other people noticing, raped her, than started beating the shit out of her. Than he told her he's going to kitchen to get a knife and than he's gonna kill her for being a tease. While he was in kitchen, girl ran out into living room. Few guys that were at the party, ran to kitchen to grab him, so he stabed one of them. Luckuly other one was ex millitary special forces, and knocked my friend out.

What freaks me out most is this is guy i know for over 10 years since he was 16. I never though anyone i knew was capable of something like this.

And what evidence do you have, Lyion that he was on pot? You have any evidence from any study anywhere that pot causes aggressive attitudes and behavioral changes? Gosh, I have NEVER heard of Alcohol causing people to become violent. Nope, never, not once, honest, really. How do you know he wasn't doing speed instead? People who take speed are described as being high. Even if he DID smoke pot, do you have one fraction of a shred of evidence that that was the contributing factor?

To me, this sounds entirely like alcohol-induced rage, just like you see when habitual drunks beat the crap out of their wife or children, or the asshole meatheads who get drunk at bars and then get into bar fights over trivial incidents without any real provocation. There are mountains of evidence that people can and do get uncontrollably violent while drunk. No other drug is necessary. Pot, on the other hand, causes people to get the munchies and zone out to the cartoon network. Gee, guess which one's legal?

I actually agree with Harrison here, the guy had a set of bad wiring, any substances he may have taken were irrelevant.

I merely stated my opinion in regards to this..I've seen stoned people act irrational and do idiot things. Its exacerbated when they are stoned and drunk to the Nth degree.
