Good for you, Kaiine and Stacy. I too am very self conscious about being in a bathing suit still. We went up north for the 4th of July weekend and I purposely forgot our bathing suits so I couldn;t go to the beach. My husband still insisted we go buy new ones though. He says I'm ready for a 2 piece but I don't think I'm there yet lol.

I'm more insecure about body hair and being pale than I am about my weight when it comes to throwing on some trunks and hopping in a pool >_<

The only way to get tan (for free) is to throw on those trunks and get in the sun :)

Body hair, to an extent, is sexy.

Yeah, I'm metrosexual when it comes to body hair as well. I'm not exactly a sasquatch, but I subconsciously associate it with 70s greaseballs and gold necklaces :(

Well, it can be sexy, as Darcler said... but please, no back hair and if you have a furry ass, please make sure your crack isn't showing. Thanks heh.

Agreed.

Chest hair is ok. Happy trails are happy. If you're wearing a Speedo for some Godawful reason, make sure to keep trimmed there. Back hair and ass hair is a no.

Weight is not what you should be watching. FAT PERCENTAGE is. Check your body fat twice a month. Forget all about weight, because as you excercise you put on muscle which weighs more than fat.

Labbats - I believe that is true when you are smaller and only need to loose 20 - 40 lbs but when you need to drop over 100 it also is nice to go by weight and measurements too. I weigh myself every other Tuesday morning. Additionally, it isn't always that easy to find someone with calipers to do your BF%. It is easy to hop on the scale, know about what clothes size you are wearing, or grab a measuring tape. I have a tanita scale that uses the body impedence but that fluctuates like crazy depending on how hydrated I am. When my weight loss starts to stabalize then I will go back to doing BF again or maybe go track down a bodypod or dunk tank that measures and tracks body fat and lean muscle mass using displacement technology.

DDR does some serious bulking up on leg muscles. When Aryy used to play his calves were like fucking rocks they were so muscley. DDR did more for his calf muscles in a month than soccer did to mine over the course of a season.

As far as my body fat psychosis, let me say that I've always gone to a gym to work out. So body fat testing is as easy as just pulling someone aside and asking them for 5 minutes of their time.

However, let me reiterate that these poor people that get wrapped up in losing weight, and only weight wind up looking unhealthy. What if Lindsey Lohan was strictly focusing on losing body fat? Would she look like that stick that no one is attracted to? I doubt it.

Thanks Araby.. If I stick to that schedule I made for the week then I will really rock!!! =P Must do it! Dana trained me today so that was fun. He always does such creative workouts. I like that he does a lot of compound movements and tosses together some really cool series of exercises. Just a few good sets and I end up with a full body workout. The cardio really exhausted me too. I probably should have kept it lower knowing that I was going to lift. My right knee bothered me a little with the squats on the first set.

This was my workout......
30 minutes of Cardio:
5 min arc trainer
20 minutes of interval running mixed with incline walking rest phase (high intensity w/ HR 165, rest phase really not a rest - HR was 150)
5 min full body elliptical

30 min lifting (around 15 reps each):

standing row w/ squat as far down as I could go then back up on free motion machine supersetted with Chest press w/ crunch sitting on ball facing away from free motion machine X3 (chest press with the added crunch was really a challenge - first time I did that but loved it)

Cable Cross Machine Lumberjack (this one is great full upper body motion start at the top of the machine and then go diagonal across your body to outside of the ankle keeping arms straight) supersetted w/ medicine ball throw to ground as hard as you can, catch on bounce and then lift straight with both arms over head
X 3

standing lat pull down staying in squat position entire time on free motion supersetted w/ one leg one arm light weight chest press on cable cross (for balance work)
X 3

Still on schedule this week...
How are the rest of you doing?

Today......
10 min bike
12 mins of sprint intervals (3 min sprint, 1 min walk, 3min sprint, 1 min walk, 3 min sprint, 1 min walk - Sprint was 6.8 mph, walk is 3.0 mph on the treadmill).

30 min lifting similar routine as Sundays
----------------------------------------------
Standing row in squat on free motion machine supersetted with
regular Squats on squat machine
15X3

Ball Crunch into chest press on free motion machine
15X 3

Cable Cross Machine Lumberjack supersetted w/
medicine ball hard as I can throw to ground, catch and drop into squat back to stand and then lift over head for shoulder press
15X 3

10 minutes cool down cardio on arc trainer

It's 99 degree here today... so i just finished eating half-gallon of mocha almond fudge ice cream. I dont think that's too healthy so i think i am going to follow that with some raw broccoli in ranch dressing to balance it out.

I had spagetti with clams in white sauce, salad and a small, like, loaf of break I guess. It gave me the poops, and I think I getting rid of more than I took in. So that's good, right?

Thursday Workout - 1 hr of spin cycle after work

Friday - I may be fubared for the am.. just took 2 benadryl (3:30am) because I got some crazy allergic reaction with hives all over. I think it might have been some new powder I used after the shower. I guess I will have to workout in the afternoon. This will make it 6 days in a row.. finally some good conisistency.

Weight low for the week this time was 191, wihch is ok considering the large drop last time. Still working out every day, although I've been cutting the time a bit shorter, 35-40 minutes, of higher intensity playing.

Thats cool Kaine. I'd be thrilled to be 191 right now.. lmao. That would make me less than Mop. I'm at 238 this am. Been slow for me as well the last week or so. Playing with doing some lower calories and greater protein ratio today to see if I can shake things up. Will do at least 45 min of cardio this afternoon and eat perfectly this weekend as well as get in lots of activity. This coming Tuesday is my post op visit to my surgeon and will be 14 weeks since I had surgery. On surgery day I was topping the scales at 280.
