Boston Red Sox Bullpen

Postby Phlegm » Thu Jul 07, 2005 2:12 pm

I guess with foulke going on the dl and the other relievers on the red sox sucking, Boston will send Curt "Mr. EQ" Schilling to the bullpen. He will stay there until the trainer and coaches think he can starts again. Which is in two weeks or so.

The rest of the bullpen isnt doing to bad, Embree got a save in there, and so did TImlin, it's just been Foulke as of late. I didn't watch the game lastnite, so i dont know if/how Schilling did, but if he did come in to relieve, he probally did a good job.

Schilling gave up a 2-run homerun to Rodriguez last night as the Yankees beat the Sox 8-6. Redsox's bullpen woes continue.

By half a game!!

Gonna be a long season for both teams next couple of months. Boston might have the edge with 40 home games left in the season compared to the Yankees 33.

We'll see, Alot of baseball left to be played and both teams look fantastic, offensively speaking that is.

I think the Orioles will get better soon since Bedard is scheduled to come off the dl sometime this week. They are also bidding hard for Burnett. Most people said they will get him this week also.

Its looking like Burnett is getting close to being traded to the O's. They are one of the only teams that is going to be able to offer anything remotley close to what the Marlins want as far as prospects go.

The Redsox went out and got a replacement for Jay Payton. They got Adam Hyzdu from the Padres for some minor league pitcher. Also, the Sox also disagreed with what you post earlier Susvain. They designated Embree for assignment. Embree sucked hard this year: 1-4 7.65 in 43 games.

After this weekend we'll see if the Red Sox and the Yankees are world series contenders. Red Sox play 4 with the White Sox and the Yankees have 4 with the Angels. Baltimore have a chance to move into first place since they will be playing the Devil Rays.
