Even arm strength is a relatively insignificant portion of hitting. It's all about bat speed and hand-eye coordination. Steroids may even be detrimental to the former, as the added bulk can slow down your twitch speed.

Defend your sport all you like, a decade of stats have to be thrown out the window because of cheating. I'm not saying it's just the steroids hitting those balls, but it helps them more than any other sport for the very same reason I don't care for it at all. It requires the least amount of athleticism of any of the other major sports.
