Celery

Postby Shannan » Fri Aug 05, 2005 2:14 pm

Does celery really detox your body? I have a friend that told me if you eat nothing but celery (as much as you want, and you can add peanut butter or whatever to it) for an entire day, it will flush out all the toxins in your body. Then to start a healthy diet right afterwards and it will make you loose weight faster?

I have never heard that. I have heard that Celery has 0 calories so you burn more calories when you chew it though.

I have heard to drink 124 ounces of water the day before you start a diet though. I did that a few weeks ago, and it cleared out my system.

It will help you drop a massive shit, and thats about it. It cleans your colon, not the toxins.

I eat pickles.

5 calories per serving & 9% of needed daily sodium intake.

How delightful!
