I don't like any of the moves the oilers made =\

Peca is good, but I wouldn't have given up York for him

Pronger is an undisciplined mofaka who takes too many dumb penalties, and the oilers already had a good defensive core

Satan, again? they got rid of him the 1st time when they realized he couldn't play inside his own blueline

oilers needed a #2 center, a big scoring winger, and maybe a goalie

so instead they sign #3 center, a liability on defense, and another liability on defense, go team =\

Penguins singed Palffy.

You know, the Pens might have themselves quite the team when all is said and done.

Sergei Gonchar

I do think the Penguins will be a force this coming season.

Edit: Also, the Penguins have some very young and talented players. The top prospect goalie from the last draft before the strike Marc-Andre Fleury who with some defense might be able to prove himself this season. Dick Tarnstrom, Ryan Malone, and Alesky Morozov are all young and talented players.

I hadn't heard about gonchar

Morozov is a 1 way player, complete liability in his own end

Tarnstrom is meh, he wouldn't be a top 4 defensemen on any decent team

Pens will still finish last in their division

Ps, I still can't believe the oilers traded brewer AND 2 other prospects for pronger

straight up i think Brewer > Pronger

jeje?

and you can't even compare pronger and brewer, pronger is everything brewer is, and more. Brewer was tabbed as having a pretty big offensive upside to his game that has never developped.

I cannot believe they are reinstating that sucker punching asshole Todd Bertuzzi into the NHL. That is ridiculous. He should be suspended to a more harsher degree.

He, for no reason at all, sucker punched a guy from behind that I believe did nothing to deserve it. The punch broke his spinal cord. That is not a mistake, that is bullshit.

You really do not think that he should be suspended more for his actions?

He's been gone for a season or something idk...he wont do it again, maybe if i had an idea what a broken spinal cord would do to someone, i would know if he deserves more

He was suspended for a mere 20 games. That is ridiculous. You saying he won't do it again is just outright dumb. He shouldn't have did it in the first place. You don't know what a broken spinal cord would do to someone? Man, are you kidding me? Moore might never be able to play in the NHL again. He could have been permenantly paralyzed for life.

I can't believe you typed what you did.

I am in like so many other Fantasy Football Leagues, or I would have...it gets so hard to keep track of everyone...I am in several fantasy baseball leagues, and it is so hard to keep track of them. Plus I don't have much time to do a lot of them.

I"m going to have to disagree with you Snerp

Pronger and Brewer are fairly diff't

Brewer doesn't put up the pts that Pronger has, but brewer also never had the penchant for taking really really bad penalties that Pronger has his entire career

Brewer is a solid defensive defensman that can move the puck, and put up above average offensive numbers

Pronger is a guy at the twilight of his career who's offensive production has fallen off to reveal some of his defensive liabilities

I just don't think it was a good trade at all

I'm a little bit surprised that the Sharks haven't picked up anyone as yet. Yes, I know they tried for Niedermayer, but didn't get him. Still, how much do they really NEED? They've got one hell of a team already. Still could probably use another scorer, but I'm ultimately glad they didn't go get someone just to get someone.

The sharks still aren't going anywhere

they're missing a scoring defenseman, and probably 2 forwards

I also don't think Nabokov is good enough to get them to the Cup

pronger is 4 years older then brewer and 30 years old is hardly in the twilight of a career. He is one of the best both defensively, and offensively at his position and is has been a norris trophy candidate every year for a while now. I also disagree with you about the bad penalty thing. Pronger also gives you a guy who can play 30 mins a game, which helps cover for lack of depth on defense

stuart could be the scoring defenseman the sharks need, and they already have hannan, and mclaren so even without rathje they should be fine on d

smart move by toronto?

espn.com wrote:Signing Lindros would have a major impact against Toronto's salary cap than had been expected. The Star reported all money in a contract offer to Lindros must be guaranteed, making the signing of the center with a lengthy history of injuries a much riskier move.
