I remember it clearly as if it were yesterday. I was dating a girl far too young for me at the time, and we were supposed to meet her parents that day. We got in the car to drive, and all the radio stations were playing the Grateful Dead. I looked at her and said this couldn't be good. Sure enough he died. I almost called it off, but then she promised me she'd let me have sex with her in the middle of the golf course by her parent's house that night. She was a lady of her word, and I felt much better about it.
Hey! She actually was. That's why it was a big deal to get her on the golf course. She was a virgin before she fell to my charms.
But the point of this post is for everyone to rehash memories of what they were doing when Jerry died. At least those who are old like me and deadheads.
Ten years ago I had just moved to Dallas and taken my first DBA job. In August I bought a new car and was learning to hate Dallas traffic. My son was also diagnosed special needs starting a long journey warring with Autism.

10 years ago I was 15 years old, on my summer vacation, and was exploring my body with my fingers and discovering the joys of self stimulation. I think I managed to get myself off everyday once I figured out the technique

10 years ago in August, I was pregnant with my first son. All I can remember about the first pregnancy was the loads of Burger King I ate, and the loads of weight I gained.

10 years ago, I was working as a senior support engineer in a really really shitty job, for a boss who considered it good management style to sneak up around the corner of your cubicle and then yell in a loud voice, "SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" On the plus side, it had me doing on-site repairs at Oracle with some frequency, which landed me a job there in 96, which is what started me on the Network Engineer career path.
Hmm...10 years ago I broke up with my boyfriend of 6 years and was getting used to living on my own again.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.
You want to talk expensive, it was $6 FOR ONE SCOOP of Phish Food at GEauga Lake yesterday. I prefer to treat myself once in a while. I don't mind the $5 for the pint

10 years ago today I was 15 years old I was on summer vacation from high school getting an ear full from my mom about not having a job. I spent most of my days playing basketball.
The movies that came out that summer were The Usual Suspects, Braveheart and Appolo 13. But being the wise 15 year old I was I decided to save my money for the new Batman movie. It's got to be good Jim Carey AND Tommy Lee Jones are playing the villains plus it's being directed by the director of The Lost Boys.
Wow Zan we must be the same age then. That was a great summer. I was taking drivers education and that's where I met this guy named Scott. Omg he was great. We did things 15 and 16 yr olds should have never been doing lol.
