Duping seems to be the norm in MMOs now a days.

$100K doesn't amount to much in real life when you're a pasty self-groper with social dysfunction. But some hookers just hit the lotto.

The guy said he made enough to take his family to France. That doesn't sound like 100 grand.

Its nickle and dime compared to the WOW farmers, probably.

Anyways, at least these guys did a bit more work than an inside trader or corporate CEO with a golden parachute. :cool6:

The 100k estimate came from an FOH thread about the dupe. Didn't it say that they made 3 times what many people make in a year though?

What gaming kids make. And he said he made enough to take his family to France. That's hardly 100k.

He probably made close to 10-15k. I seriously doubt he made 100k.

This is when we decided to quit dealing with the low budget distribution companies and go to the top of the line, which will remain nameless. I Guess Everyone will be able to figure it out, easily enough.

Nice line. Regarding the profit from the dupe, keep in mind that initially, people were paying three hundred dollars per platinum piece. If you could keep the market up, you'd need 334 sales to break 100k. Obviously, dumping that many plat into the economy depresses your value, but by the time you're mass-marketing the shit through IGE, you're looking at a massively inflated volume too. Given the scale of the operation, 100k seems quite feasible.

I bought 2 halasian maulers once for 2cp...I thought someone had made a mistake in pricing.
