Sounds boring now, perhaps they can spice it up.

I'm not sure if epic 2.0 will be cool, or suck. It just never sounded like something that could be rehashed without a lot of (more) bitching to me.

Think of camping epic spawns back when, think of applying the current player base to those camps.

No more expansions for me thanks...

Level 70 has no draw for me.. great, none of my current spell focii will affect any of my "new" shaman spells (which by the way will be mostly useless stat buffs or another sub1K nuke that is ridiculously stupid) ... nor does a long, stupid quest for an item that isn't better than my current primary... They'll make epic2.0 something that is mediocre so that it's not wildly out of line with what the majority of the player base would consider to be a massive upgrade... something along the lines of a Tier2 drop or even a higher end Ssra/VT kind of weapon (claws from the Cursed or the druid scimitar from LMM come to mind). And yeah, as painful as the epic was 2 years ago, any of us could walk through an epic quest in a day or so now - most of it solo... so the new quest will be some ridiculous gay quest for an average weapon... thanks, but why would I want that?

Bleh... regardless, the last 3 expansions have been ass... I don't need a 4th.

They'll keep trying to breathe life into EQ and the lemmings will continue to shell out the dollars to support it... as for me, they'll get my monthly until I finally find something more interesting to do with my free time...

maybe they should fix the Gates of Discord content before they release another broken, half finished expansion? Yes i know people have finished Uqua, that doesnt mean the rest of the content is playable, try zoning into qvic.

doubt this one will be big...I can tell you no one in CT has expressed much excitement over it.

i doubt the retuning will be enough to make gates of discord a good expansion

the damage has already been done, half the high end playerbase is gone and isn't going to return....those that are left can retrain lower end players to fill that void, slowly, but it's not going to be the same...

plus there are a lot more problems in GOD than just poor tuning of raid zones (read: uqua)....poor itemization, extremely linear progression, no good xp content..

they would need to almost scrap half the existing content to fix those problems in any meaningful fashion, something i doubt these changes will address.

Fuck every exp passed Luclin or Kunark. The game was smaller, and better then, then it will ever be in the future. It was actually, a freeking challange to do something. Shity at the time, but i look back now and wish that was the EQ i could play. Because then, i most definitly wouldn't be retired.

Fuck that. We don't WANT any more expansions. There's already too much shit to do as it is. And on peak times, it's quite fun to see if we can get to a certain mob before another guild does

I've said before I wasn't getting PoP, or LoY, or GoD, but I did... so I hope I can withstand buying this piece of shit expansion.

I already told you on the phone, I don't NEED to find a job right this moment, but I AM looking. I have applied to like 5 different places, and faxxed my resume out. It's not like I enjoyed being laid off. I actually liked the people I worked with and miss them.. and the bigger paycheck. Soo.. What does having a job have to do with buying a P.o.s expansion? :P

Who's to say it won't be like epics when they were originally implemented? Top-end only, hard to do, few would have, damn good?

Something people like down the road(See: Hard to do, unattainable atm) is what makes people work/keep playing, so why put in something mediocre now when most people would just be sorely disappointed?

An epic-sized quest for a ssra type weapon? Heh. Even if it was a slight upgrade, almost no one would do that nowadays.

Sad thing is me and Martrae got GoD jsut to stop the annoying fucking popups when you log on. Now they are back.
