Why would a Canadian EVER want to work in the US? Our country is rife with corruption, greedy corporations, and mean selfish people, whereas Canada is the land of fruit and honey.

Easiest to get is a Class TN (Free Trade) visa. All you need is $50, proof of citizenship, and a letter with a job offer.

You need to have some sort of professional qualification though, I have an engineering degree. That was acceptable.

How hard is it to get a work visa for a US citizen in Canada? Is there such a thing?

there are work visas, but iirc it's no where near as much a pain in the ass as to get one in the US
