Ok, before I decide to go out and buy EQ2...

Is there anyone out there willing to let me try it if they aren't currently playing?

I just want to put in a week or so and see if I like it still since beta. I got a new video card and can finally play games more intensive than Halflife 1.

I pretty much never want to go back to the snoozefest of pathetic easiness that is WoW...so please help me stay away from it.

EQ2 and WoW = identical, neither kept my interest for the whole 30 day subscription, save your money

Its all changin over the next few weeks with teh big combat revamp. Wait till the 12th. Right now it is still simple as WoW for some classes.

No one plays. that's why it wasnt fun. I played for maybe two weeks, in qeynos/freeport, max people in one of the zones, 2...in Commonlands/Antonica, 25-45 and they are huge so you don't see anyone. I had a 15 predator in Freeport, but quit because it wasn't fun because no one was around to do shit with. And it's much better graphics so dumb-shit 12 year old's cant fuck around because their comp sucks, they always made good convos in a populated place. No dueling, no pvping what so ever, no arenas. The game itself was fun when you had a group, but not the same fun you had in EQ

Good thing is arenas and pvp coming with the expansion. But yeah, I agree, a lot of people quit, every server reads Light Load now. Hoping that changes some with the expansion and revamp, hope some people come back. Or maybe some server merges, they probably wouldnt want to do it cause it would be embarrasing, but better than having ghost town servers.

Its not horrible though, Commonlands on Blackburrow the other night still had like 45ish people in it.

I played for a month, off and on. I quit because there was no one my level to group with. Oh and when I did group, you could like, ruin someone elses super duper combo move or whatever by casting something of yours. wtf.
The graphic were good. Really good. I liked that part. I just couldnt get into the gameplay at all.
