Ok, what kind of things can you get at a regular store and what kind of things are better to get at this quality food store. Thanks.

Good luck to you. It's been little over a month for me here. I know it's hard especially if people around you still smoke, but you'll be amazed how much better you'll feel in time without it.
I have noticed a difference already.
I don't know if it's the gym, or the stopping smoking, or both

Also out here in CA, you can find high end grocery stores, places such as Molly Stones, Draegers, etc. that carry a great deal of high end organic meat and produce as well as normal stuff. At the complete end of the spectrum are places like Whole Foods, who ONLY sell small market healthy stuff. Free range chickens, no`antibiotics cows, organic vegetables, etc. However, do be aware that you will pay 2-3x as much for the food you buy, at least. Yes, it's better for you, but you WILL pay for it.
Now, I have no clue if there is the equivalent to Whole Foods there where you are, I think it's a west coast phenomenon. For whatever reason, maybe the higher liberal concentration, CA/OR/WA seem to be at the leading edge of that wave.
As for pork, if it's fully cooked, it's no worse for you than anything else. Also, if you're just buying pork chops or pork loin, say, you're buying stuff that is no more processed than a steak or a package of chicken breasts. Now, ham or bacon, those have been cured and otherwise modified before you ever see them, so yes, they will have additional salt content, etc. But just basic pig meat certainly does NOT. Also, salt is really only bad for people with high blood pressure. For most people, it's a null issue.
Oh, and yes, smokin even 1 cigarette is goin to be far worse for you than the salt you're going to get from a couple slices of ham.

Domino effect. Making a healthy change in one area in your life helps the other ones to fall into place and for you to feel better overall. Keep it up.. sounds like you are on a roll. As far as the country cowboy guy...
lmao.. I assumed you hooked up with Mindia. lmao
I can't stand country music but if the guy had all the other really good and I mean REALLY GOOD qualities I might be able overlook the country music thing. The only country I am cool with is John Denver. My stepfather could pose as his twin and my mom played his music when I was growing up so it reminds me of home. I also got stuck listening to Barry Manilow, Barbara Streisand, Broadway Show Tunes, and the Beatles thanks to her...... /shiver
