Cell phone / PDA device

Postby 10sun » Thu Sep 01, 2005 10:33 am

I'm looking at getting a cell phone / pda combo device.

What would people suggest?

I want to be able to transfer it to my current cell phone plan with Verizon because I have an awesome deal that was grandfathered in when my old plan went defunct.

I would prefer if it were running Windows CE due to the fact that my job's online applications work only with Internet Explorer(sucks).

Help?

If you're going with Verizon, a Blackberry is a great device.

Or you could find something else here: http://www.phonescoop.com

Get an AudioVox SMT5600 (they aren't cheap but they are very feature rich). IMHO Blackberry's are going to be dead technology in the years to come. Their price model for single end users are fine but for any company of a decent usage base, Blackberries have a huge expense.

If you look for any "Smartphone" that runs a compatible windows mobile OS, you'll be best off for several years. Sony makes a good model smartphone as well.

Alot of it has to do with what you plan on using it for today and then next year (e.g MP3 player, memory stick replacement, e-mail on the go, etc etc.)
