Yeah, that only nailed me the first time.

The only way -I- found around it was Ramza - Ninja - throw shit n run, he gets closer, throw more shit, run more. + luck. What does everyone else do?

I cant beleive a decent tactics followup wasnt made. Such a sweet game.

From what I can remember, I went the dragoon path during that fight. Had it working so Id jump just before he could attack every time.

I don't remember much of the game, but I do remember that it was a cakewalk through and through. Unless you are trying one of those challenges where you gotta just use one character the entire way through.

Jumping I think I tried, I came down too late n he moved or something stupid like that.

Game goes downhill from Orlandu, way to overpowered.

Killing him was never my problem. Trying to keep him on his knees without accidentally killing him before I could steal all of his Genji armor was a bit more challenging though ;P

Ah, hehe. Elmdor fight was the only one I ever had any real trouble with (because he's so hard to pin down to steal from to begin with, and then has like 4 pieces to steal) so my mind just automatically went to that fight. :P

i turned it around in the end. instead of using the blood sword i stole from gafgarion to get my hp back i just turned into a summoner and learned odin and then i one-hit k.o.ed him. then when he turns into velius and summons his bitches i just plopped another odin on his whole crew and killed the three demons before they even got to move.

this fight would've been way easier if i had ramza learn ninja stuff or chemist abilities but all i had were monk and lancer skills, really, so it was kind of gay to figure this fight out. five days in the making but i broke my friends' mold and killed him my first time through the game.

then after this i'm going to try ffvii finally

Super Squire! :P

Actually, I have no idea. As anal compulsive as I was about mastering all classes for my regular fight team, I'm not sure I ever quite managed to max out all professions for any one character (although I wasted days and days trying to get every skill that every class had to offer for every member of my regular team, just because). I think you needed to get lvl 8 in all classes to unlock Mime, but beyond that, I don't remember anymore.

Well, anyone could learn the mimic class, just had to get lvl8 with all other classes I believe.

Ramza had a unique skill (for squire class?), Ultima, that only he could learn (by getting hit with it, as I recall) in one fight very near the end.

Been a long time, and I can't find my book...

if you liked FF tactics, pick up Tactics Ogre

it was the original one, FFtactics is a pisspoor rip off of it

tactics ogre is MUCH MUCH harder, and way more realistic if that makes sense

like, if your archers are on high ground, they shoot farther

vice verse, if you're fighting uphill, your ranged attacks don't go anywhere near as far

also, when your guys die, they're dead forever

until you can get high enough cleric to learn res

really, neat, much bigger armies, more interesting classes, super cool~
