i have never been a fan of sports games

GTA series
baldurs gate (fun hack and slash)
grand turisimo
ffx
castlevania lament of innocense

Believe it or not, the EQ set of BG type games...

EQ:OA was actually fun as shit too ( I beta tested it for months )

Dynasty warriors is pretty fun for hack and slash, and to boot, it's historically educational

also check out ROmance of the 3 Kingdoms

but just for pure fun that's not a sports game?

I haven't played it, but I have a friend who raves about Katamari Damacy.

Yup, both Durothil and I were pretty hardcore into that time period for a while (originally via the games, then reading the histories. ps, they're making a movie about the whole thing now~)

check out the oldschool nes Destiny of an Emperor game too, if you're feeling up to it

was pretty good back in the day

MGS:2 isn't as good as the first, but it is still fun to play through.

(slightly too easy, but then again what game isn't?)
