Ok have a client here that has me stumped. The guy runs a accounting firm out of his home. He has 4 pc's on the network running standard DHCP.
All but one pc can see the network. On DHCP it says "Acquring network"if I switch over and assign the system a IP address it works to a point.
Now the system can see the rest of the network but still can get out in the internet. I redid the winsocks to no avail. I have checked no bugs, no spyware nothing...the fucking thing is clean.
new mobo..installed and tested here. but why would it not work on DHCP but on static? according to quiktech and microscope the nic is fine. sorry...been trying to add info while doing a busy day...thanks for the help tikker,(in advance)
You dont happen to have MAC or IP filtering running on the router do you? MAC filtering would cause the exact problem your having though its a long shot.
