eq is just the same as it ever was if u ask me..except u don't have to suffer hunting down a corpse if you own DoN..
the new expansion is pretty cool tho...
you do these monster missions and everyone in ther group becomes like a lvl 25 fairy or whatever in this little instanced zone where you and your friends must clear the zone gearless OR just sneak through and beat the fucker...anyway...you get this phat loots from these monster missions..BUT IF you don't finish the mission, forget the loot.
I never played WoW.

EQ was dumbed down and made far too easy. This, of course, my own opinion. They took the "skill" required to play certain classes.
WoW is not too much better. Havent found a class that was super hard to play (might be more difficult higher with that class, but I dont think so)
I still side towards WoW more though. EQ just got real easy, real quick.

I enjoy the bard I have. She is super geared and lvl 65. However, I don't really know the class so I can't really say anything on the matter except that I would much rather be on my enchanter than my bard.
If you ever played EQ again you should try a beastlord. I love beastlords in my groups. Good dmg, good buffs, pet class, so you can let their pet die and run if you want! It's wonderful grouping with a pet class LOL!
My ride is late. Those bastards.

Last time I checked EQ it didn't even resemble EQ anymore. I can't bear to even think about going back to Norrath after they fucked it up so badly.
Imagine a really good movie, then imagine a sequel where none of the original cast, crew, etc were used in the making.
What you get basically is something that tries to mimic the former successful model but falls flat on its face at every scene.

I knew a bard in OT who was proud of how he could twist the sustenance and levitate song during battle.
I told the group "Here I sit broken hearted, tanks a wimp and the bards retarded."
He left after that.

hmm dumbed down? seems so, but after wow big launch cant blame them, everyone wants to be uber quick now a days. Least in EQ, it still takes longer then a month or 2, usually, unlike in wow, were you can be 60, with an epic mount in a month, then either app or pvp like mad, and be end game. I still feel like in EQ your e-nervis can be bigger.

No, thats not all a bard could do, but it was a large part. To pay attention to what you were twisting so group members didnt get mad, or twisting while kiting and you had to notice if you missed one or you died. Now, you can push a button, turn on attack in a group and go get a soda and noone will be the wiser.
I literally wore out 2 mice while playing my bard. I never used the keyboard except the arrow keys. Was very good at keeping a shitload of songs going.
