Planescape:Torment

Yes, it's old as dirt, but still one of the best RPG's ever on the PC. Black Isles shining moment in my opinion. I've been running back through it the past few days. Anyone else ever play this gem?

Perhaps the best PC game ever made.

Brilliant game. Love the dialogue, the witty quips by mort were hillarious.

I've been looking for something to goof around with and this looks perfect for me. I was a big fan of BG2 and it seems to have a similar, if not identical, engine.

Same dev team, producers, and a slightly modified BG2 engine. In all honesty, I thought Planescape was absolutely dominate of BG1/2 in every way. Never before have I been as fascinated with a gaming story as I was with Planescape. Check it out Zanchief, I promise you won't be disappointed.

I could have sworn P:T came out between the BG's.

What I meant by that was, I thought it was a modified BG:1 engine.

Not that there's THAT much difference.

You may be correct. I know I played it after BG2. I just assumed that's the order they were released.

The only reason it really sticks in my mind, was wasn't there a P:T trailor in the BG Expansion? Which was at least a year or longer before BG:2 was getting ready for release.

Hell, there was a Command and Conquer 2 trailer on the original C&C discs, but that didn't come out til like 6 years later after the whole Red Alert series.

Did you have the Win95 version of C&C or the Dos version?

My Dos version didn't have a C&C 2 trailor, but the win95 version which was released a few years later, may have had one.

One of the best PC games I've ever played, hands down the best RPG game I've ever played. I like the fact that it is story driven more so than combat driven and just the sheer choices of things you can do. The voice acting is very well done as well, Morte has some of the best lines in any game.

Defanatly a pick up if you don't have it ,if you can find a copy it's been out of print for a while now.
