Woman Stabbed Over Soup

Postby Adivina » Sat Oct 15, 2005 9:40 am

People are absolutely ridiculous, I read this today and sadly enough wasn't even suprised.

TAMARAC, Fla. - A Walgreens employee allegedly stabbed a co-worker in an argument over who could microwave her soup first, authorities said.

Both women wanted to use the microwave in the employee break room Wednesday afternoon, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

While they were fighting over who could use the microwave first, Mellesia Grant grabbed a large kitchen knife off the counter and stabbed Merloze Tilme in the abdomen, the sheriff's office said.

"They didn't get along to begin with. Who could use the microwave first became a major issue," Broward County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jim Leljedal said.

The two women then wrestled for the knife, each cutting their hands, before the store manager could stop the fight, Leljedal said.

Tilme, 20, was hospitalized early Friday in good condition, officials said.

Grant, 23, of North Lauderdale was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after being treated at a hospital for her wounds, officials said. She was being held on $50,000 bond.

I'd put money on it that there's a man involved in the details of their discontent toward each other

Women are fucking nuts.

Nice to see things haven't changed in Tamarac.

Ignorance...perhaps, the inability to communicate, emotional instability and unpredictable violent behavior?

Maybe she was mad because the other woman's parents named her Merloze, when in fact, on the inside, she is mad at her own parents for naming her Mellesia.

Probably cracked out. Anyone that has been to Tamarac would have no problem believing that.

Walgreens has the ultimate party room above their front door. It's all glass, with the crazy neon sign lit up on the back wall...I've always wanted to have a party in there.

You know I just looked at this again, granted there may be some unknowns.. but my god. If because you have an argument over a fucking microwave you grab a knife and stab someone in the abdomen I'd think you'd call that attempted murder. If she was aggravated into doing so I sure as hell hope it was fairly extreme physical violence on the other womans part. If it was simply a verbal argument and dirty looks I think the charges are extremly light and absurd.

You have to understand North Lauderdale, man. If she had wanted her dead, trust me, the bitch would be 6 feet under right now.

Maybe I'm picturing it wrong... a slice instead of a stab or something, but regardless of the woman’s intent, if she intended it to be a fatal blow or not, a stab in the abdomen I'd think would generally be considered a life threatening action. If someone stabbed me anywhere in the abdomen I'd consider it a threat on my life and would feel justified in taking theirs, I wouldn't generally stop and try and decide what their intent was.

I think that they are the women's last names. Isn't that how news articles are usually written? Using the last names?

If not, then I totally agree with you =)
