Ever had shingles? It's extremely painful.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

Has she been to the doctor? They have some pretty cool medication nowadays to alleviate a lot of the symptoms, including the physical manifestation of the infection(did I really just say that? anyway...)
I got shingles after my son was born (along with a wonderful case of acute tendonitis in both wrists). The doc said it was due to continuing physical stress on my body because I wasn't taking it easy. I now have a permanent corneal ulcer on my right eye as a result (the rash localized on my nosebridge and ran the infection into my eye.... lovely stuff).

interesting story on that one...thats exactly what the first quack...err doctor said. Gave her some ointment. I had gone in to have my post check up with the family doc after my vasectomy when she got it the first time. she came with and she was in a bad way when I was talking to the doc...doc asks her what is wrong..she tells him...he asks to see it...
5 seconds later he states...shingles..use this. 2 days later the shit is gone. Turns out the ointment the first jackass gave her would have compound the shingle problem. Something to do with the steroids in the cream or something.

Omg, and yea, they gave me a cream to rub on it and it went away. That shit isn't fun, it's basically the chicken pox virus laying dorment in your nervous system waiting for you to either stress out majorly, or for when you're exposed to a lot of sunlight (if you're not used to it). I was in Florida, sadly, and broke out on my left side on my back.. under my brastrap of all places. It hurt like a mother and I could hardly move my arm without whimpering.

I hear smoking pot medically reduces your chance of increased stress. I mean, I read it in a medical journal, ya. Not that I condone that sort of behavior, but, you know... just saying.
for next time... you know...

Shingles is caused by the chicken pox virus. It attacks along the nerve endings and is extremely painful. Mine is in the same spot, Jennay. Right along the nerve endings along the left side. I haven't broken out in the rash yet so the doc won't give me any good meds.
It's brought on by the dormant chicken pox virus that's in everyone who's had chicken pox flaring up again as an adult. Stress or letting yourself get run down can trigger it. Weight (or lack of it) has nothing to do with it.

On a side note...I really like my new sig.
