You were talking about how dog fighting breeds all this crime, and encourages prostitution, gambling, etc. etc.

There have been studies showing how Marijuana is a 'gateway drug', leading the user to other, more hardcore drugs later in life. And, as often happens, hardcore drug use often lead to crime as addicts are forced to steal and commit prostitution to pay for their increasing habbit.

That's not the case with you, you say? You practice control, and only do it occassionally, and know it won't lead to more dangerous drugs later? Then how do you know that everyone who goes to a dog fight is there to rape babies and beat the elderly? Perhaps it's just a sport to them. Ableit, a sick, dangerous sport, but a sport nonetheless.

Smoking pot is illegal. Drug use is illegal. You really don't have a right to sit there and do one illegal activity (especially when shown it leads to more dangerous ones), but condem others who would persue their illegal activities. My own view on dog fighting is that it is sick, and cruel, and I hate it. I love dogs, and I hate seeing them hurt. I cry in movies when dogs die. And, yeah, it sucks... but the fact of the matter is that there are other, more dangerous crimes out there right now. Would you have the police spend their time busting dog fights when they could be out stopping child molesters or murderers?

I have never heard of a dog fight ring in which there has been no other illegal activity linked. The matches are commonly used as entertainment during major drug deals and gang activities. Any small amount of research will show you that. Go talk to the people who perform dog fight busts or try to care for the dogs after, crime and dogfighting go hand in hand.

I hate dogs. I hate dog owners that think they are children or deserve human rights. You know that reminds me of a story. I literally blew the front of a dogs head off with a 22 rifle once.

Here's the deal:

This asshole down the road really got off on letting his hunting dogs loose to rampage on our livestock. Well one morning I got fed up with the bullshit, went out with a shotgun and nabbed one as it ran away from one of its half dead victims. I went back in, grabbed the 22 rifle and went out to finish him off. The fucker was laying there with half of his ass wide open on a sheet of plywood.

I figured I'd do the decent thing and give him one between the eyes. *pow!* Fucker JUMPS up runs INTO the fence falls over backwards comes back, all the while yelling its fucking ass off. I stood there dumbfounded like..what..the...fuck...!

I gave him one more shot to the right side of his head, possibly missing because at this point I couldn't believe it didn't work like Hollywood. Another shot at this left side, then it came -at- me yelling to which I fired a shot right into the mouth -pop-off came the forehead.

I later found out that someone had loaded the fucking thing with "plinking" bullets instead of the hollow points that were in there. If I would have had a chance to eat something that morning I would have puked right there. there was blood everyfuckingwhere.

Anyways I put the bloody collar (that the guys name and address was stamped on a metal plate on it) in the guys mailbox and drove off. Never had a problem again.

Actually Pot is a gateway drug only because you believe the propaganda of the US. Booze / Nicotine is the gateway drug, just the US wants you to think different, sort of out of the box thinking don't you know. I've said this before and have been corrected but I still stand by it; Anyone that smokes pot didn't start smoking pot "first", they drank, snorted glue, got dizzy, etc etc before they smoked pot.

For you parents out there, if you ever caught your kid going in circles to get dizzy, shaking their head back and forth to get dizzy, etc etc. I want you to know, they are getting high. The sole purpose for that action (and every kid does it, EVERY ONE) is to experience an altered state, disrupted equilibrium, etc to experience a "new effect" that isn't "normal". I guess inside we are all high-ons, and we all started doing "drugs" between 3-5 years old. And yes I am an expert on this topic (/sarcasm off)

RE: pit bulls, I've been of the same opinion that pit bulls are demons but I've changed my mind, I now believe they are products of the upbringing. I've met a couple pit bulls that act just like labs, I didn't think that was really possible. Any dog can be turned into a fighter, even a chiwawa(sp).

Tuggan, while human induced animal fighting I agree is bad, no matter how you look at it, I don't know that it breeds "more crime" BTW I'm from Detroit as well. I'd sooner say the people that promote / accept animal fights breed the crime, not the fight itself so much.

And outside of a few folks that post, I'd bet if they are any kind of animal lover, a true animal fight would churn their stomach. However for the folks that don't really care and like that type of thing, it just says they lack compassion, for no one with any level of decency would willingly accept the type of torture the animals go through in and out of the "ring".
