WoW 24 hour clock

Post by Martrae »

Ok...the idea is a neat one, but I highly doubt I'll get the game because of it. Playing in perpetual dusk to dark would get really old after a while.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

I'm pretty sure the clock's speed gets increased/decreased during the different pushes. I remember a few pushes back it was 24 hour, it was set exactly on PST. Then a while later, (I didn't make note of when, just 'sometime'), it was sped up somewhat. I'm sure they are aware that it's too slow, and they'll speed it up somewhat in order to allow everyone to see the world their artists came up with.

They are pretty adamant on the General Boards about sticking with it.

I read that thread to about page 6 and didn't see a Blizzard employee make a post about anything...

If they did later on show me where, ;p.

I always thought reading battle.net boards was a sin anyways.

I agree, the 24-hour long game day is a bit much.
I would much rather see a 6 or 8 hour day, but you know what? I could really care less at this point because every other aspect of the game completely kicks ass.

Even though I didn't initially like the idea of rest states (which I now see as being pretty much a non-issue), or the 24 hour days, it still looks better to me now, in this stage of the beta, than EQ ever has or could ever hope to be (and EQ2 is just laughable. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...hah).

I just wish waiting weren't so hard. Every new screenshot I see, or player journal/commentary I read, only makes it more difficult.
If only I could hibernate until WoW goes live. I would only wake periodically for brief trips to the bathroom, the kitchen, and to reserve my copy from EB.

Guess I'll have to settle for crutching along on CoH, La Pucelle tactics, and Front Mission 4 until then... wish Fable was still coming out in June...
