It's an easy surgery to recover from. Coming out of anesthesia was bad for me, I dont remember, but I hurled everywhere. Did the same after my c-section. I dont think I'm good with anesthetics heh.

Do you have a recliner? She will probably be more ocmfortable to sleep on that for a couple of days. It hurt like a bitch to lay flat for me.

Supposedly they're going in through the belly button with a scope or something. I'm not as clear on the details as she is because this was relayed to me mostly while I was at work, but she is only supposed to be in surgery for 30 minutes.

The recovery is what I am worried about with having to deal with a one month old and a three year old all day.

she recovered well, and though her husband wanted to kill her in the end...they were both ok. you will do just fine, so will she. good luck, let us know.

They use 4 incisions. One through the belly button (where they pull it out from) and three just under the ribs. They are small cuts, my biggest one is maybe 2 inches long. The painful part is just the muscle is cut and has to reattach. Which is why a recliner is good so she can lay back and if she needs to get up, slowly put the chair down. Less strain on the muscle.

I have no idea how long I was there for. Less than an hour I assume. They also put a cool foot massager on her while in recovery. I liked it and didnt want them to take it off.

lol

I hope the surgery goes well and that your wife feels 100% better after healing up. As for the kids situation, I recommend duct tape for the toddler. Best invention ever ;)
