You bet, but unfortunately I haven't played in ages. I remember walking into Sam Ash as a teen ready to blow cash on a Jackson Rhoads model, and the manager persuaded me into getting a strat with a double coil - - a decision which I was later very thankful for =)

I hear you on the strat. This guitar is definitely a little on the hard side. Would like to get a telecaster at some point, and a strat. Need an acoustic too. And a semi-acoustic. Hehe, uh oh :ugh:

after years of piano, guitar just seems weird and wrong to me

It really bothers me that identical note can be produced different places :eyecrazy:

Yeah I know what you mean about going to different instrument types, although piano and guitar are closer than trombone and guitar. Hell I still freak out trying to read more than one note at a time.

Yeah I was worried about the neighborz. So I just went with a 30 watt 10" Vox tube/solid state hybrid. Should be just fine.

I bought a 500 watt Ampeg amp in college. A 500 watt amp in a dormroom. How stupid lol.

When I get my setup one thing I intend to splurge on is this:

Its like an entire studio in one effects box. I watched the movies they have about it and it looks amazing for a home studio.

Even 30 watts is plenty loud. I really dig the sound of a cranked Marshall versus today's trend of using Boogies - - maybe I'm just getting old :dunno:

You look like the squirlly mechanic from the first Fast and Furious.

I want to get the custom super elite dimebag guitar... but they are like 3 grand and I would go to hell playing one at my current skill level... or should I say lack of skill level.

Strats are for pussies. Tele's FTW!!!!!

Got a 1972 Tele Custom myself, someday I am going to restore it to its original glory.

As far as Acoustics, I am currently playing my cousins Gibson and saving my pennies to buy a Martin. My uncle has two Martins and I can't get into the same room with them without getting wood (heheh get it? Getting wood...acoustic guitars... :dunno: nm)
The object of life is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to come screaching in to the grave sidelong in a beatup wreck of a body, loudly proclaiming "WOW What a ride!"

Nice Parv. I havent played in a long time, and just couldnt justify spending the dough on a standard or custom ESP. We will see how this LTD works out. Ive never actually played an ESP guitar, so Im sort of going on faith. My old friend had, still has an ESP bass he played in college. That thing was sweet.
