Problem copying files

Problem Copying: Windows has encountered a problem when trying to copy this folder.

Is the error message I get when I try to move pictures to a writeable CDR window. It doesn't matter what file, file size, file type, folder or zip or anything. Trying to back up some pictures the way I've always done it, just all of a sudden doesn't work.

ok what might have happened is windows had a hiccup concerning where a file was put and placed it into a read only file area. either that or somehow the rights of the file got changed. best bet is to make a copy into a different directory first. try then. if that does not work IM me tomarrow AIM:kaharthemad Ill send you my little program of hapiness to try and redo permissions settings and trasfers.

I'll give that a try. They are read only for some reason, and when I tried to zip them at first winzip said something about the full file name in the directory.
