It makes me cry.

Though a good rain makes the roads shut down too.

Same is said of Texas.

I've also seen people freak out and go to the store to buy bread, water and gas when the temps dip below 40.

Yeah, but there's a huge diffence between an Atlanta drizzle and a Texas storm.

So, I'm driving down George Bush Tollway to get home it is starts sprinkling. Light, like I didnt *really* have to turn my wipers on. It gets a little harder, to the point where I had to turn them on high, on the first setting, not a big rain, still pretty good visability. People are driving 40. FOURTY.

But yeah, the big storms during the day make me drive real slow, if not exit and park in a parking lot till I can see the front of my car again.

Oh people in Michigan drive like they've got Parkinsons. It's always funny when we're having blizzard-like conditions and taking it easy when some ass in a decked out truck or SUV speeds past you doing 50.... then later you see his lights in the ditch or pulled over by the cops.

That happens quite a bit here as well. Apparently, too many still hang on to the myth that 4WD/AWD makes you some sort of vehicular messiah. Meanwhile I primarily drive my RWD sedan with decent snows with no issues :dunno:
