I would be more impressed if their schedule didn't look like this:
Sat, Sep 3 at Hawaii W 63-17 --
Sat, Sep 17 Arkansas W 70-17 --
Sat, Sep 24 at (10) Oregon W 45-13 --
Sat, Oct 1 at Arizona State W 38-28 --
Sat, Oct 8 Arizona W 42-21 --
Sat, Oct 15 at (6) Notre Dame W 34-31 --
Sat, Oct 22 at Washington W 51-24 --

Sat, Nov 5 Stanford W 51-21 --
Sat, Nov 12 at California W 35-10 --

As for the mighty Fresno State-their schedule:
Sat, Sep 10 Weber State W 55-17
Sat, Sep 17 at (10) Oregon L 34-37
Tue, Sep 27 Toledo W 44-14
Sat, Oct 8 at New Mexico State W 37-7

Sat, Oct 22 at Idaho W 40-10
Sat, Oct 29 at Hawaii W 27-13
Sat, Nov 5 San Jose State W 45-7
Thu, Nov 10 Boise State W 27-7

Oh yeah--see that tough as nails Oregon team--here's their bullshit schedule:
Thu, Sep 1 at Houston W 38-24

Sat, Sep 17 (16) Fresno State W 37-34
Sat, Sep 24 (1) USC L 13-45

----------------Team G Rush Yds Y/G Avg TD
Reggie Bush USC 10 140 1104 110.4 7.9 11
Kenny Irons Aub 10 206 1102 110.2 5.3 12
Kenny Irons had to play against:
Sat, Sep 3 Georgia Tech L 14-23 --
Sat, Sep 10 Mississippi State W 28-0 --
Sat, Sep 17 Ball State W 63-3 --
Sat, Sep 24 Western Kentucky W 37-14 --
Sat, Oct 1 (19) South Carolina W 48-7 --
Sat, Oct 15 at Arkansas W 34-17 --
Sat, Oct 22 at (4) LSU L 17-20 --
Sat, Oct 29 Mississippi W 27-3 --
Sat, Nov 5 at Kentucky W 49-27 --
Sat, Nov 12 at (14) Georgia W 31-30 --
Sat, Nov 19 (8) Alabama W 28-18 --
To top all of that off, Irons had only FIFTY FOUR (54!) carries in his first 5 games combined. So his numbers didn't come against those cupcake teams they started the season with after Georgia Tech. He also doesn't have the luxury of defenses having to worry about a Hesiman winning pass attack. Oh yeah hey remember when people laughed about Auburn losing to Georgia Tech? Not so funny now is it, Miami fans?
In all honesty, and personal bias aside, this guy deserves it as far as I'm concerned:
Tyrell Sutton NoWe 10 198 1178 117.8 5.9 16
and playing against:
Sat, Sep 3 Ohio W 38-14 --
Sat, Sep 10 Northern Illinois W 38-37 --
Sat, Sep 17 at Arizona State L 21-52 --
Sat, Sep 24 (5) Penn State L 29-34 --
Sat, Oct 8 (25) Wisconsin W 51-48 --
Sat, Oct 15 at Purdue W 34-29 --
Sat, Oct 22 at Michigan State W 49-14 --
Sat, Oct 29 (17) Michigan L 17-33 --
Sat, Nov 5 Iowa W 28-27 --
Sat, Nov 12 at (9) Ohio State L 7-48 --
Sat, Nov 19 at Illinois W 38-21 --
I didn't dig too deep into misc yards so if Reggie-whatever-the-fuck-cupcake-schedule-guy has more than rushing to add to his resume, then maybe you're right.

Fresno State should have won the game against USC. In the first half the quarterback for the Bulldogs was very good then in the second half he started choking. He had 4 interceptions(2 were in the end zone, another one lead directly to a USC touchdown) and a fumble on his 20 yard line that led directly to a USC field goal. I guess the pressure of beating a number one team got to him.
College football is so hard to judge this year. The Pac-10 is overrated (as usual), as is the Big-10. SEC is having a down year and any team with a serviceable offense will kill them. Big-12 is horrible besides Texas and who really knows how good they are.
Can't really argue that Bush is the best player in the country though. Imagine if they actually gave him 25 carries per game instead of splitting them with White.
I'd admit Young is good since his passing stats are decent this year, but have you seen every highlight of UT? His receivers don't have anyone within 15 yards of them. I'm not sold.
