The Bible and the errors within - A (long) religious post.

hmmmm?
The reason that some people keep pushing Christianity down your throught is because they truely care about your immortal soul. Where the problem comes in, is that the bible says, in so many words, that once you've told someone the truth and they don't except it, that you should stop there. You're not supposed to push and push and push. You're not supposed to sit outside of rock and roll concerts and tell people they're going to hell if they go in. That's horse shit. Once they've said "FUCK OFF", it's time to leave them alone.
Some one conviced against their will, is of the same oppinion still. (ok, lame, but I like it anyway.)
Now Vonikar, at the same time, somewhere in your post you said that you were driven to the edge of not believing by those in your church, and that you would have to find the answer, and why can't more people be tought like that?
Well, we see where that got you? LOL
And for the record, in that last thread... I WAS NOT BASHING JEWS... I was really seriously asking a question... which it very much appears that Vonikar may be the person to answer. You definetly appear to have a good knowledge of the subject.
And to the dude that went off on me... Eat Me!

EDIT:
Change "the truth" to "about Jesus". The truth sounds like I'm saying your wrong and I'm right, and that was not the TONE i was going for. And as far as your knowledge of the history of religion... I was impressed. Though, I still feel like I could take you down... (cough, cough). But I'll save it for another more important topic than your eternal soul. LOL

not intentionally
I wasn't saying what I believe, I was saying that's what Christianity teaches. If it came off condesending, again, it wasn't meant to be so. Take it how ever you like to, I'm telling you how I meant for it to be. Now, if I told you that I think 99% of the people on the planet are wasting precious oxegen that I may actually need some day, that would be condescending! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!

"Liberals believe government should take people's earnings to give to poor people. Conservatives disagree. They think government should confiscate people's earnings and give them to farmers and insolvent banks. The compelling issue to both conservatives and liberals is not whether it is legitimate for government to confiscate one's property to give to another, the debate is over the disposition of the pillage."

judas "hanging" himself
a christian once told me that Judas hung himself on his sword therebye solving both problems. depends on your definition of hang
Where in the Bible does it say this? Your Christian friend came up with a solution that tries to explain the contradiction, but has no basis of fact.

The answer is more complicated then I think you realize.
First the names:
Yeshua comes from a hebrew word meaning salvation.
is the greek spelling of the name Jesus. This greek word also means salvation. Jesus was
to the greeks and Yashua to those who spoke (speak) Hebrew.
Now as to the origon/reason for the name Immanuel. Immanuel means "God with us". To the writers of the Gospels this completes the portrait of the Messiah they had waited for, for so long. Jesus was their Salvation (Yeshua) and their God (Immanuel).
There are many other names that Jesus was going to be called: Isaiah 9:6 says, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders and his name shall be called, wonderful, counselor (some say, wonderful counselor) the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. These names don't seem to cause a contradiction, yet Immanuel does, Possibly because Immanuel has been changed to Emmanual and used for people's names since then.[/img]
