Oh no

Postby Diekan » Tue Dec 27, 2005 6:14 pm

Some things I bought online are being sent USPS. Oh well... I'll be lucky if I see them in a month, if even at all.

Anyone else wish the USPS would be privatized? I HATE the postal service.... it's worse than the DMV.

Man, everything I get USPS or send USPS is faster than UPS or FedEx unless I pay for 2nd day.

hmmm you might be onto something there.

It's funny but when I order something UPS or FE I get it in no time... when I order something and it's shipped USPS it's always days late - twice they've "lost" the item.

Been like that for as long as I can remember...

Oh well we'll see how this turns out.

are you ordering it standard, priority, express?

i've only ever had one problem with the mail service.. and I use them an awful lot more than I use FedEx or UPS, and have had problems with both of those on more than one occasion.

Actually, the Postal System is something of a success story among government agencies. It actually runs completely self-supported, not 1 dollar of tax money goes into it. If only more of the branches of government ran that way. I'd love to see the Air Force, say, holding bake sales any time they want a new B2...

Well, I can only form an opinion through my personal expereinces. Over the years I've had more problems with the postal service than I've had with either FE or UPS. /shrug I guess some folks are just luckier than others.

I, personally, perfer the commercial carriers over USPS any day of the week.

For example. I ordered five items. One is being sent via USP, while another is being sent FE. The remaining three are being sent USPS. Now, the tracking numbers for both FE/UPS work fine. I know exactly where they are and when to expect them. The tracking numbers for the USPS packages (yes all three) aren't working - they're "invalid numbers." Just another fine example of the quality I get from the good ole USPS.

are you fucking serious? We used them for six months before switching to DHL and then UPS. They blew harder than Jenna Jameson's circus seal act.

They lost everything, wouldn't honor their insurance. To this day they still owe us a couple of grand. Fuck those guys.

DHL sucks too.

UPS is god. They are the best carrier in the world hands down.

I'll get Kahar to post about the Post Office tomorrow. He worked contract there for a while. What a messed up organization.

UPS is a giant cesspool of human and werewolf excrement

easily the worst fucking carrier
bunch of fucking crooks

they're the ONLY carrier that charges brokerage fees for packages coming to canada, from the US

they're also more expensive than any of the others for delivery here (aside from their brokerage fees, which are generally 50% of the value of the item shipped)

In this area DHL drops packages off at the regional post office, so they're useless. The USPS takes an additional 3 days to deliver anything. FedEx and UPS are prompt and professional.

My packages were supposed to be delivered today. Both the Fed Ex and the UPS arrived this morning. No sign on the USPS and the mail was delivered an hour ago.

Our UPS driver always comes in mumbling about how we have the nerve to order so many computers that he has to carry in. One day I finally looked at him and I said "What are you complaining for, I know you make good money, and IT'S YOUR JOB" He always sends his assistant in now.

DHL is good around these parts.

USPS is only good for mail, THATS IT.

Fed Ex is ok, but we dont do alot of business with them.
